Samsung Galaxy Note 2

My Note 2 has been updating apps like crazy the past 24 hours. Checked in for 4.3 update and software os warning me that my device has been modified and software updates are not available. I am running 4.1.2 stock rom. Wtf?

My Note 2 is suddenly taking forever to charge. I've done some Googling but there seems to be a ton of mixed information out there on the subject and I don't want to accidently damage my phone by following the wrong advice. Some background info:
- I use a custom ROM (I flash every OmniRom nightly). I'm not sure if a custom ROM could be to blame but it's probably worth mentioning.
- I making use of a Samsung adapter and cable known to be in good working order and tested on other phones.
- My Note 2 is almost a year old.
- It takes anywhere from 8 - 11 hours to get a full charge now.
- My battery app is reporting the expected voltage/amperage when the phone is plugged in

Any advice?

My note 2 's display glass is shattered, just like a car windscreen, how much will it cost me to repair? Does Samsung use gorilla glass like nokia? My n8 has taken a lot of beating but it's still intact

Yes its always in cover; it fell down from a height of about a metre and screen just shattered

I love Android 4.3 on my Note 2!!

I reckon some of the biggest changes are not that visible, but I spotted one right away.

My Sandisk Ultra Speed micro SD card would never read faster than 14MB/s on Android 4.1.2, but I've done a speedtest on it last night, and now it reads at 26MB/s, which is almost double!

Lots of other changes, love the new UI, and my Note 2 is absolutely silky smooth! :)

My only gripe so far is the default messaging app.

It pops up annoying messages on the lockscreen, which I cant turn off, otherwise it does not show the message in the status bar.

Fonts are way too big & you cant make it any smaller. :(
