I'm getting a day on pretty heavy use (mixture of hopping onto Wifi, surfing the internet and reading, listening to eBooks/podcasts and playing a game every now in then in addition to the more usual phone calls and whatsapp). I've achieved 36 hours on milder use but that only happens occasionally. My phone has pretty much trumped both my laptop and TV as my primary entertainment device. It always better on a Note 2 screen :).

That sounds pretty good :D , I love that omni has Multi Window as well :D

Just keep in mind that the Multi Window features are not yet part of the nightlies. They're a separate Omni Rom build released every 10 - 12 days by one of the lead Note 2 Omni developers. This feature will no doubt find its way into the nightlies but I suspect the developer probably wants it as stable as possible before commit.

Hi guys, who here has the official Samsung flip cover? I'm looking to get a flip cover that keeps closed with a magnet to protect the screen, but I don't know if the Samsung one does that? Any advice please

I had one and gave it away - it becomes extremely irritating to have to constantly flip it open when you want to answer/make a call.

I got the Capdase gel cover instead and absolutely love it.

That's what I currently have (for the same reason), but after breaking my glass I'd rather be safe and live with the annoyance. I'm just looking for a good MAGNETIC flip cover, but its difficult filtering through all the junk thats available

Haha thanks, but besides the color, that is the official samsung flip cover which does NOT keep the lid closed with a magnet.

I use a wallet flip cover (with magnetic clip). It has space for three cards and some cash which means I now don't need to carry around a wallet any more. I bought a generic branded one from a Cell C store but you get much nicer (and cheaper ones) at just about of the China malls.

Thanks, that will work for me too. I usually don't like "mall shopping" but guess I'll have to go look at the different SP's stores. There's just so much garbage and guess work when buying these things online.

I especially like the flip covers that replace the plastic back panel entirely, so will see if I can find something like that.

Forsome fscked up reason when you drop it it flips open. Ask me i chipped my screen after it slipped out my pocket, flipped openand fell on the face. Since i have tested it on my bed and 2z out of 3 times it opens and always falls on face lol.
 
Who here is still using Ditto Note ROM? Last time I tried it I had terrible battery drain and the phone ran hot.

But I'd like to try the ROM again.

I finally settled for the Body Glove flip cover. It stays closed with a magnet, but unfortunately doesn't unlock the phone when I flip it open.

I see another user here said that it is impossible to remove the S-pen with this flip cover. That's true. It's not that the cover closes the pen's hole, its just that you can't get your nail in deep enough to pull the pen out.

At least this cover is serving the purpose I got it for: to protect the screen when not in use.
 
Dammit, I love my Note 2.

Especially after reading that the Note 2 will get KitKat end of March. :)
