:erm: Ngwe, you better go do some research before making bold claims.

The Note 3 is far faster the 5s in synthetic benchmarks, or as you say in 'pure power'.

I think you will find that the research needs to be done by you. And I am not making claim but a stating a fact.
The A7 SOC in the iPhone is the best in the mobile space currently.

I would be interested to know which benchmark you are talking about that shows the Note 3 to be faster.

Are you blind? You've selected the browser benchmarking scores only!!

READ YOUR OWN LINK PROVIDED.

:erm: According to your link, the Note 3 is nearly faster in every aspect except for web browsing speeds?

CPU / GPU and RAM benchmarking beats the 5s hands down!

Wow. Talk about selective results. :wtf:
I guess some people only use their "smart" phones for browsing

I read and I stumbled on this.
The Galaxy Note 3 is more or less the fastest Android smartphone we've tested up to this point. In the situations where we can do cross platform (OS/browser) comparisons, it isn't quite as fast as the iPhone 5s but in some cases it comes close.

And, no I am not blind...I selected all the benchmarks under "CPU performance", and as you can see, the Note 3 is firmly beat.

This seems to be the opposite of what most Apple users say... They usually admit that the iPhones' specs are not very impressive, but claim that that isn't important. On pure power, the Note 3 and LG G2 (and maybe the Sony Z Ultra) are miles ahead. And only the Note 3 has the huge 3GB RAM.

The iPhone is just temporary. I'm waiting for the Galaxy S5 and if I don't like it that much i will go for the Note 3.

It is truly and amazing phone. I love the size and the S-pen. I'm just waiting to see what the S5 is like before i get the Note 3.

I don't really read the specs, i just look at the basics like the camera. Most of it doesn't make sense to me although i have noticed lag coming from the S4. I miss that large screen so much

Just get the Note 3 now, then the S5 when it comes.
I upgrade to each galaxy shortly after release. Just can't help myself.

I can't unfortunately. I get the phones on contract. I've been using the iPhone for a while now and every time i see a Galaxy my heart melts. I can't believe I gave up my S4

All?

OK then, let's forget all the others you failed to select.

Yes all, except if you want me to include the ones under "GPU performance" which I left out for obvious reasons.

Why don't you post the ones that, according to you, I left out... I think I know why, there's none. Sorry to burst you bubble.

Again I will quote AnandTech, and this time I will highlight the part the you brain seems to be filtering out.

Beg to differ. Spec don't matter to Apple users only when the competition is better spec'd. Case in point is screen resolution. Of course they quickly change the tune when Apple surpasses the competition. Case in point, the speed of the processor didn't matter when the Snapdragon 600 and 800 SOCs were released until Apple released the A7. By the way, the iPhone 5s crushes all the phones you mentioned on "pure power"

Nope. Only the GPU is faster. CPU, RAM, battery etc is all far less. In fact I think they only switched to 1GB RAM just now. Of course you don't need that when your multi-tasking capabilities are pretty much zero.

Agree about the screen resolution though.. When they had the best, it was the most important thing in the world, yet when the Nexus 10 came out they quickly changed their tune.

Well the Galaxy S5 will almost certainly be better. But then the Note 4 will be better than that. And so on.

Unfortunately that is too true. I will just get a device and then avoid all reviews on future Galaxy devices for two years until I am able to upgrade

If you care to read you will find the opposite to be true. The Note 3 for example beats the iPhone on GPU performance. And it has to because it pushes way more pixels compared to the 4inch iPhone which has a lower resolution. CPU performance is another matter all together. The A7 is a beast, it is a at the top of the food chain for now. I agree on battery and RAM, the Androids are clearly superior.
