I've just noticed something weird. There's a update for the Samsung ADH Premium app in the Playstore, but now I get a message that "Your device isn't compatible with this version"?

Samsung just canceled you ADH :p

I received my Note 3 yesterday from Telkom Mobile. The lady immediately told me that I need to download the app and register my device for the free screen repairs.

I was really impressed because usually the consultants do no know about important details like this. Or at least in my experience.

Overall excellent service from Telkom Mobile. Signal is great and even if it is not, I have 1.1GB of All Network Data to roam on MTN. I would highly recommend their network. Data speeds are excellent as well

Where are you from? I see you are Roaming on MTN EDGE network. Reception is poor.

I am located in Pretoria North. The reception is actually great in my area. I have full 3G signal on Telkom Mobile's Network but during the night I set my phone to GSM only before I go to sleep. I guess the 2G signal is not that good.

The reception for MTN is very poor in my area and I can only get EDGE on their network.

One unfortunate thing that I had noticed is that my S-pen was very unresponsive out of the box. A change of the tip fixed this problem immediately and now it is working 100%. Luckily they included new ones.

The S-pen is amazing and even more so the Note 3. It can recionize my terrible handwriting. Something even most people can't do.

Has anyone picked up that the screen doesn't always black out during calls? I've Googled it in the past and it seems that it is quite common. Apparently it has something to do with the proximity sensor getting covered by smudges or dust collecting on it via the call speaker grill. Remedies include wiping clean the top of the phone (hosting the sensors) and blowing compressed air into the speaker grill.

I've experienced it a couple of times where I'll place the other caller on hold or I find myself changing various settings with my ear of cheek after hanging up.

I also experienced that, what i found was to turn off the setting restart the phone and then turn on the setting.

Be careful if you use compressed air (from a can or a compressor) because you *will* damage the tiny loudspeaker !!!

Rather just purse your lips and blow into the loudspeaker grill softly ........................

Is there anything that needs to be enabled on the phone to get LTE/4G ? Tried with my lte enabled sim(works 100s in lte usb modem on lte) but not getting lte on my phone with mtn.
