GEL lacks all customizability. Those icons. Just no. So huge. Love the google now integration, but action does exactly what I want.

I use it because of the Google Now. Built in on the fly weather/news/daily traffic feedback's. Yes the icons are big. Yes there is no customization. But show me something that will track my day 2 day lifestyle intuitively? Today, I got told where i left my car...It tracks my movement in my car and saves the location of where I last left it. I also got told Monday - Friday I have work and it will plot out the shortest route wrt traffic and on the weekends it will send me off to my Gf's house. Monday night it has picked up that I frequent a particular restaurant (spur) so it will beep at 6:30pm with an ETA + route. Im not sayings it's the best launcher, far far from it. But i LOVE google now. And i LOVE what it offers. So if any other launcher here, has google now built in. I will probably switch.

Almost all launchers have some sort of short cut to get to the Google now screen. The Action Launcher that I use, its just a matter of holding down the Home button for a second, and bob's your uncle.

If you don't like that sort of thing, just have a shortcut to Google search somewhere on your home screen that will also take you to Google Now.

I always remember where I park my car.
I know I have to go to work Monday to Friday.
Before I got married I didn't need anyone to remind me to go to my girlfriend.
The reminder or the Spur, well, I can't comment on that.

Hey folks. Slight hijack. Just dropped and destroyed my phone last week, but only after I ordered replacement battery covers. 1 white 1 black. They cost me R120 each. Anyone who wants them can pm me. They gave me a screen guard too which I will throw in for free. Joburg- East Rand.

I also love the Auto updated, but how do you get them to trigger at the right time of day? Mine let's me know about traffic on the way to work but then when I arrive at work notifies me about trip back to home. Then when I actually leave work at 5 no notification for trip home?
It often gives updates at random times of the day

just use it more and more. it learns your patterns. and have location services on as well i think, that might help. maybe.

So why don't you use your ADH warranty and get a new phone?
 
My battery has tanked. Used to get a solid 2 days. One if I used it heavily with average on screen time of about 5h30min. Now I see Android services and Android os taking up about 60% of bat usage. This was never the case. For example, plugged out my phone at 17:00,lost 20% in an hour and a half.

I am still too scared to flash, but are there bat improvements with some of the custom rooms out there?

I can't imagine my battery being shot after 10months.

I was just about to post about how much I'm loving the battery life on this phone as I'm on 3hrs screen on with 67% juice left.

From what I have read if you go AOSP/AOKP normally one would lose a bit of battery life. But with apps like Greenify it can be minimized. If you go with a TouchWhiz Rom like X-Note or Omega I believe they have optimizations to improve battery life.

I loved my battery life. Somewhere in this thread you will see me freaking out about how amazing it is. But it was about the last week that I noticed it is not where it is suppose to be.
