Samsung Galaxy Note 3

I'm having some issues with Whatsapp. Messages don't seem to come through unless I am actually holding the phone.

Vodacom signal at home and work, 3 Km apart, is terrible at best. I have the Polish 4.4.2 Rom, and set to 3G/2G Auto.

PDA: N9005XXUEND3
CSC: N9005XEOEND2
MODEM: N9005XXUENC2

This started last week sometime, any ideas? Try another ROM?

Mine has been doing this as well. Stock ROM and Telkom Mobile. Sometimes I don't receive the message until a few hours later. I have to be in WhatsApp for the messages to come through. Background Data is not disabled

I have the same problem. What I also experience is that my 3G connectivity is VERY poor for browsing.

I was wondering if it hasn't got to do with the polish rom, want to look at changing my rom this evening.

Anyone know a good backup utility for my phone (without rooting?)
 
I have this exact same issue. Im on the rooted version. Have this issue with both Vodacom and MTN plus wifi. Thought it was greenify cutting the signal off or putting the app to sleep. Dont get messages unless i physically open whatsapp.

I have flashed the 14 April UK BTU rom. I will see how it is over the weekend.
 
What services do you guys see when using bluetooth between PC and phone?

I only get the send file option and sync PIM data. This is on windows 8.1 and I would really like to use the stream music to laptop option.
 
I can't get this damn audio streaming going...These are my only options below.

This morning's update included Kid's Mode, High Speed Download, and a camera mode called Virtual Tour.
I haven't had time to check what else was updated. (still 4.4.2 though)
 
Anyone know of a very very clean rom? And when I say clean, I mean no bloatware like XuiMod and TopNtP and stuff like that. I will be installing my own themes, I don't need the extras that comes with X-Note.

Cleanest is CyangenMod IMO. But you'll lose all S-Pen features.
 
Often when updating apps via the playstore, it gets stuck on installing the app. I can leave it all day, it never continues. What can I do to fix this annoying problem.
I have the latest official firmware.
