same, except i went from SE's p910i to their m600i. k#k phone that. 2 years of torture.

The SE P910i looked like a top phone back then. Never owned it, but was envious of those that did. I went from Super small SE k800i to HTC Touch Pro to DHD. When i got the DHD i thought that was going to be the max sized phone screen that i would own but it looks tiny nowadays.

@Mikrouwel, is that the LTE version?

Just got mine, signed by Jan Serfontein and Ruan Pienaar.
Was given to Jan on Sunday by Samsung, only 4 boks got phones.

cool! :)

i tuned TM on their facebook page that they should beat the other operators with am awesome deal, then i'll port. got a reply saying, " We currently don't have the Samsung Galaxy note 3 on offer yet, but as soon as we have it available, we will publicize the info."

pft. i'll go for cellc and keep my new TM sim in my broken-ass huawei tablet for surfing at home on its wifi.

so gateway's cellc only has white, non-lte and pavilion says they'll never get the lte note 3. checked the coverage map and saw she was right, cellc don't have lte. so there's no reason for them ever getting the lte version of the note3.

That sucks
not too concerned about LTE, more about the custom roms, which they say the LTE version will be more popular like the S4

So it looks like Vodacom has the better deal?

R449 PMX24

versus MTN:
R569 PMx24

This is because the MTN one showed is a Higher contract which is the Anytime 350

Actually on the back page of the yellow trader Its R469 on Anytime 200 with 350MB total data pm.
Which is a better deal than the vodacom option.

Now this is a comparable deal! It seems pretty good to me to go get the Anytime 200 with 350MB and add on Afrihost Internet as I need it!

Does anyone know of an MTN branch in Durban which has the phone in stock?

So I just called 3 MTN stores in Fourways and none of them have stock, they all waiting for Stock from the warehouse which should arrive next week!

But looking at the Pamphlet it does say, coming soon! Pretty disappointing...

rom support aside, what other differences would we notice between the two versions? as far as i can imagine, the lte version should use more battery?

I think it's actually less battery.

Looks like Samsung must still fine tune their own octa core Exynos chipset, as it uses more battery juice then the Qualcomm 800 chipset & the performance difference is almost zero.

Do they still give the free ID cover at vodaworld or was that a launch special only. I know this is the phone that I want just to get it with the right contract that wont bite me in the ass with out of bundle charges. I read somewhere that MTN was re-thinking their contracts have they adjusted or changed the per min rate?
