Hi All.

Why does the Media service keep killing the battery?

I have reset all the software. Formatted SD cards and still it happens.

Anyone had this before?

Some memory cards makes/models can cause that or having a huge amount of images that will get indexed and thumbnailed by the gallery app you use etc.

Easiest way to check is run the phone with no sd card for a day or 2 and see if that helps

I started looking as well.
At vodacom its around R500.
Takealot has it for R321.

Didn't check for it at a Pakki shop yet.

When the Feck are we getting the official Lollipop update on the SM-N900 in South Africa?
My dad even received it on his S4 during last week, my wife's been running it on her S5 for just over a month.

BT unbranded Note 3 lollipop rom from Sammobile is out, go get it!

I have the same question.

Might be time to root and flash Cyanogen. The speed of these official updates is a joke.

BT unbranded OFFICIAL SAMSUNG Note 3 lollipop rom from Sammobile is out, go get it!

No root or funny business needed, won't even trip Knox, just load the downloaded rom with Odin, easy peasy lemon squesy

The BT rom is the best official Samsung rom available, it's got no bloat or operator branding.

They have all the official Samsung roms for all regions and all phones, you just register for free to be able to download them, you don't need a premium account unless I suppose you are a technician and would like to download roms on a daily basis as fast as is possible, the roms are normally over a gb.
 
Are there any MTN reps on this forum that can tell us when we are getting #lollipop on Galaxy Note 3? It has been out so long this is ridiculous. Furthermore, there has been a string of Android (and Apple by the way) vulnerabilities recently and they are not being patched, thereby exposing all of us.
I get the feeling that MTN are lax and don't care about our privacy and security.

I am due for a phone upgrade but doubt that I will get a carrier phone again, I will have to go with a nexus device, or maybe an ubuntu phone.
