My personal opinion/request, - they can keep the watch, just give me more data, like 5GB per month...

Has anyone been able to verify this offer, and the terms there-of?

But you can easily backup whatsapp chats and just restore them where you want.

Edit: you probably meant "chat" history. Just go on your old phone, open whatsapp
Menu, chat settings, click on Backup Conversations.

Copy over the file to the new phone, install whatsapp and choose restore when prompted..

I tried this now but it only allows me to backup to iCloud on my iPhone. Any other advice?

Just FYI - The Samsung Smart Switch worked absolutely Flawlessly.

Open up iTunes and backup your phone on there. Then Smart switch will pick up that backup

The link on the Whatsapp website takes you to the Apple support pages, so best to get familiar with backing up to iCloud...

Thats what I originally did which is why I could get all my contacts ect over to my Note. In smart switch there was no option to restore Apps or Whatsapp backup at all
 
geez how are you guys affording these contracts, i had to motivate myself to get the S4 at R389pm (no regrets) but man these prices for the note 3 is a bit too much. really would want one (note 3) but not at those prices.

FNB seems to be the cheapest, now if i can only find a relative that banks with them :D

And none of these contracts make provision for the fact that a smartphone lives on data.

I have not seen the Telkom Mobile deals, but they seem like the only service provider who is grasping the concept of a smartphone.

They give you 5GB data on all their high-end deals, so I can just imagine how nice it would be with a LTE device!
 
Now to choose the contract thats the best from vodacom. to topup or to smart that is the question.lol
 
I have to admit this is a massive upgrade from my S2. The size does take time to get used to, but luckily its very light and thin for such a big phone. The only complaint so far is the poor reception. I dont have reception at places where my S2 never struggled.
 
Has anyone else been to Vodaworld do they still have gears left?

I have the exact opposite case with my note 3. i can now talk in places my s2 simply could not. to me so far, that is the best new feature of my note 3.
 
Has anyone used WhatsAppMigrator yet to migrate messages from iPhone to Android - WhatsAppMigrator

After trying multiple times I finally got it to work and all I can say is this piece of software works AMAZING! (once you find the new msgstore.db.crypt that gets created) but other than that very straight forward.
 
So has anyone seen the Note 3 at any MTN stores in Joburg? It's available on the mtn.co.za site but none of the stores I've called seem to know when they're going to get stock. Meh.

I got a call today from MTN direct in Fourways mall, they got stock today!

And I think they open until 18:00 so hurry :D
