Samsung Galaxy Note 3

I edited my post, on the Note it's called Auto network switch.

All I did was switch mobile data off while on WiFi and haven't had the problem at all so for now that will do - just gotta remember to turn it on when I leave WiFi :wtf:

When that notification appears, just click on it and check the "don't show this again" option and click cancel.

It's not the notification that bothers me, it is the fact that it won't connect to WiFi even tho it says Signal Strength is excellent. I ended up just turning off Mobile Data while on WiFi and havent had the issue.

Android, by default, should do this? Samsung screwing around again...

just google vodacom
was the same for me last night

Hey, it still showing on Google!

But link takes you all deals, and search for Note doesn't have R349/pm... That's false advertising!

Good luck in trying to get them to honor that.
This is South Africa where South African companies have absolutely no sense of corporate conscience to honor their mistakes, and we are partly to blame for not treating companies who wrong us, harshly enough. How many of you will boycott Vodacom for not honoring this? You will all go to the company with the best deal that satisfies your pocket irrespective of how well they practice the ethics they preach...

I had a problem with IC advertising falsely last year, escalated to their HO and CRM, got no joy, and have boycotted them since. To date, they have lost R86,000 of business from me. Would have cost them only R2000 to honor their error, but they chose not to, and I chose to take my cash elsewhere.

Pardon the off-topic meander, but you know what? It made me feel good!

It is possible to make these companies pay for their false advertising. I'm not sure about the VC link because they might say no the heading and content underneath have no relation etc etc normal VC lies.

Regarding IC, I made them pay for their over priced goods and false advertising before. About two and a half years ago they advertised a 23' HD LED 2 ms response Samsung screen (which that time was R2000) for R1000. So my friend and I got two units and the next day my Bro got a unit at a different store.

The trick is to have the false advertised newspaper article etc with you but folded in your pocket or whatever. Then go to the relevant unit and stand around a bit while looking interested in said product then ask them to please check if they have stock (while muttering this is a good price under your breath) when they come back and say yes then just say thanks load that up for me at 'this price and whip out that article. They have to honor it. If you go straight in with the article and show them they'll just say sorry we out of stock.

Go to Wi-Fi where it shows your networks, press the left soft key on the phone then go to advanced, then turn off auto network switch.

Just got notification for update, busy downloading.

Sheesh, yip, reckon it will quite difficult...

Anyone have successful experience with something like this?

Maybe a watchdog body that can assist?

How much data are you guys using per day?
I really cant see myself upgrading with Vodacom with their 300MB a month on Smart M

My usage vary, I easily use 20Gb per month. (yes that's on my phone)

My usage will drop considerably now since the R499 Vodacom promo is no longer available, I will probably only use about 5Gb per month from now on.
