if the vodacom vodaworld number is (011) 653-6750 then I give up, they dont answer

I just got more details on the Vodaworld Note+Gear offer yesterday.

It was a one day special of 100 units where you got the Note 3 phablet plus the Gear watch for R8999 cash or on a 24 month SmartS contract at R449pm. That's 75 minutes, 200 SMS and 200MB data per month.
Sold out in one day.

hey, how did you get that details...

They had 4 units this morning but due to some rank incompetence they are all sold now and I'm left without one. The promo was R449 with a Gear.

The Spigen cases are available from Amazon with international shipping after the 28th. Their screen protectors are excellent as well.

Damn it, how I wish I saw this yesterday! Then again, I'm not sure I would use that watch all that often.
Good to hear about the Spigen cases, do you by any chance know if they are liable for import duties and VAT and whatnot?

just spoke to vodaworld nw, it was a in store special, 100 gears in 2days....
i got mine on Monday... from dbn... so so so uncool:mad::mad::mad::twisted::twisted::twisted:

Current Note 3 users- what is your RAM usage like? Would it be possible for someone to post a screenshot?

I am curious to see what the reasoning is behind Samsung going for 3GB of it...

 WTF!

Do you mind posting a screenshot of your active and cached apps? That usage is insane...

It isn't really surprising, Android is only making use of all the RAM because it's available. When you clear the memory it goes comfortably south of a gig.

Never mind the usage, why does my phone only have 2.38gb ram?!

I know, which is why I asked for the active and cached app screenshots. :o

I am curious to see what is running that could possibly take up so much RAM. I barely touch 50% of the 2GB my Nexus 4 has, even with heavy abuse.

Mine is also showing 2.38GB . I decided to not charge my Note 3 , wanted to see just how far it would go until it reached 5% battery life , well I got a pleasant surprise , 1D 9H 48m 2s !! That is way longer than my S4 ever got . Granted I was not on it 24/7 ,but still for average usage I don't think that's bad at all . My screen was obviously the biggest drain at 35% . Must mention though that I have turned off the LTE on mine and it was running on majority WiFi yesterday, we don't have LTE here on the South Coast ,so no point in keeping it running . Im really loving the phone so far and am very happy with it .

Just got my Dropbox account credited with 48gigs extra. Total is 50.2gigs.

Another thing, I just logged into Samsung apps and I got a pop up message saying that I have R100 gift card... first 15000 note 3 customers to sign into their Samsung account and log into the Samsung app gets this.

I also got the gift card, haven't been able to find something worth buying though...

Suppose some goes to the OS and can't be used then.
Active apps when I took screen shot was 7.

The rest is for your graphics chip, silly! :p

It's called "shared RAM" and most notebooks work exactly the same. The graphics card/chip need RAM to function.
