This is stupid in my opinion. Since you have to sign up with a credit card in any case.

Im about a week into my note 3 and I am as happy as can be. I had to answer the bossman's 5s today and I laughed out loud at how ridiculously small it was. Then I ran to my office and picked my old s2 and it was surreal. It always felt adequate. Now I cant imagine how I lived with it day to day. Thank you glorious note 3.

Just took a look at the apps on offer now... Lol is all I can say. Most of those paid apps are free on Play store.

No CC required when I signed up. I know what you mean, when I use my S2 now it feels slow and really small, where in reality its still a great phone but the Note is just on another level.

It's called "shared RAM" and most notebooks work exactly the same. The graphics card/chip need RAM to function.

LOL I know, so this means the LTE version has better graphics since it uses more ram for the graphics, approximately 600mb compared to 400mb for the Octa?

Edit: so which one is better Adreno or Mali? Both seem to have their advantages and disadvantages.

I think some of the RAM is used by the Android OS, so maybe not all RAM is used for the graphics, but the important part is that it's reserved RAM.

The Mali is very good performer, but the Adreno is no slouch either. I guess when you get to the performance level that the Note 3 can deliver, you don't really care. :p

I want to use Telkom Mobile LTE, so needless to say, I'll get the LTE model.
 
Just in case anyone is interested, Cellucity stocks the black S-View cover for the Note 3. Bought one today at the Clear Waters branch (Roodepoort).
Priced at R799. But ask them for a 10% discount. Check their website for more details on discount.

I managed to get it. I can't offer any advice other than I had managed to already score free space previously with inviting friends and doing their silly task list.
 
For you okes who paid cash upfont for the phone, what is a good price and where did you source it from?

The prices the cellular stores are generally asking is OTT :mad:

I had a look at their website but they don't specify a discount?
 
I've got a white s-view cover for note 3 for sale. Will ask mate to post it to the classified section later, pretty new to this forum :P

My problem with the data connection randomly dropping seems to be better. I played arround with the network settings and switched the network mode to WCDMA only. Now it is holding the connection better. I will monitor and see if it stays like this. My cell signal on the other hand is still not the strongest. Never really stable, keeps on bouncing between 2,3 and 4 bars.
