I just noticed that Angry Birds Star Wars 2 is free for Note 3 on the Samsung Appstore, and you also get $10 worth of credit in the game.

No...how can Vodacom ask this of me? :(

Great! I never had an S2, or know of anyone with one.
So how do I get my hands on one to trade-in?
I really think these device-specific trade-ins are silly. Why not just allow the trade-in of any smartphone...I have a few HTCs and (old) Samsungs I could off-load...
Unless it's Samsungs way of ensuring they retain market share, so they're subsidizing it.
Does the trade-in have to be in a working/usable state?

Interesting...
So the true value of this device is R389, and Vodacom is ripping you off by R60 on the cheapest contract.
Paying a premium for early adoption.
Feel like I'm getting shafted, just like with e-tolls...

Mmm... Anyone have an S2 to donate to me..

Would be great if they didn't stipulate the S2, and this is at least becoming decent in pricing

Loving it :D:D:D

How are you getting so much life out of your battery? I just checked mine now and currently at the time of typing this post my battery is on 37% and 21h 48m 29s on battery. I know that is still good for a battery but it is a good 9 hours off your status. Or could it just be the settings between the devices are different?

FYI - I have the Note 3 N9005 LTE.

Where do you see the $10 credit? I just downloaded the app for free from the Samsung Appstore but don't see any credit...

I am also with Vodacom. This really is annoying. Data connection and cell phone reception just goes away randomly.

Can someone please post a screenshot with their APN settings for Vodacom. I have the LTE version. I just want to check if my settings are correct.

Every now and then my sim card deregisters itself. I think I had that problem since my n9.

I was on MTN first, ported my number to VC and everything worked fine for a year and a half while using my Nokia, the phone fell, problems started occurring, like the above mentioned.

But how can it damage my sim card? happens thrice a day.

Only for new accounts unfortunately.

Lies. Mine works, i got my 48 gigs. Think you need to open dropbox on your phone and play with some settings, then you have to complete some steps on the PC then you get your 48 gigs.

You get 1000 credits in the game, mine popped up after I finished the first level. That 1000 credits is worth $10 in real world monies.
Here's a screenshot for illustration purposes.

I also have the N9005 LTE. Those stats are a week into using my phone so the playing with it the whole time has died down ever so slightly. Those I got from normal use. WIFI always on, A few phone calls, checking in on mybroadband, pokemon, some browsing, some emails. other than that I didnt do anything special to the settings. I turned off all the samsung gimmicks like airview, smart scroll etc.

I still haven't my free space. I first tried using my existing account but nothing. Then I deleted my old account and created a new one, signed in on my phone and then completed all the steps on my PC (did all 7) and then I looked and it still only shows 2.25 gigs so not sure what I am missing or doing wrong?

Cool that worked, just played the intro stage and after completion got the 1000 credits.

Thanks for the tip :D

So what can you do with these credits?

and btw, you can buy something of R10 with your R100 voucer but you cant use the balance. Once used on one product then the voucher is gone, regardless of price. Tried to buy Asphalt 8 but you can't buy it with a voucher and you must register your bank card....

You can use it to unlock powerups and characters in game.

That sucks about the voucher, will keep that in mind when I use it.

Something else that was cool, was that I got a free movie voucher on my birthday, which could be used to purchase any more on the Video store. Don't know if that's specific to the Note, or if it happens for all Samsung devices.

Did you complete the 5 steps? you supposed to send invites to people as well.

ok then i wont be downloading that game. Too time consuming.

Anyway, with the dropbox account, what you going to do with it after 2 years when your 48 gigs is gone?

I will stick to 1 storage platform rather that is linked to my gmail -> Google Drive. I have 15 gigs available, yeah its a lot smaller than the 48 gigs (for 2 years only), but i will just be storing all my books on drive as I dont want any books or documents on my local machine anymore.
