Did you confirm with them that stock was available? When i last spoke to them they said closer to end October.

Just want to check with the other note users, my battery is on 49% now with screen usage at 61% and 2 hrs 11 min - does that seem right or not? Just a little curious.

That does not sound right at all. Mine usually drops below 90 after about 5 or 6 hours. Maybe a background app thats running?

Ok I will try that but...I received a notification saying that the voucher cannot be used in google play, and once you buy something with the voucher then its basically used up.

Voucher cloud does not work in SA, yet they say it does...

Just downloaded Need for Speed that cost R30 using my voucher and it worked - that's now my second purchase using the voucher.

Is that in standby mode tho or constant usage for those hours? I have been browsing the Web and playing a few games in those 2 hours.

Not bad.

No, at 49% his screen has been on for a total of 2 hours and 11 minutes.

@weelzSA - I don't have a Note 3, but compared to battery usage with the S4, that sounds about right. Browsing usually takes a fair share of battery power - Chrome should register a fair share in your battery stats. And obviously gaming is CPU and GPU intensive.

I really want this fone, stilllooking at my options though. Still deciding if my priority should be the device or how much airtime i am getting. Note 2 is getting cheaper, decisions, descions.

I put in about 3 hours of pokemon last night. So that would be screen on for the whole time and my battery only went down by about 12%. I cant imagine browsing taking a bigger toll than playing games for a few hours.

Can you uninstall the "My Magazine" feature?

I hate it that Samsung is trying to pull a HTC Blink feed stunt, I only want to use Flipboard.

Yeah that's what I thought. What I am going to try is run down the battery fully the do a full recharge and see if it makes any difference. Not sure what else I can do to check what's draining the battery (I had an iPhone before this so I just keep closing the running apps if I don't use them anymore).

"Open My Magazine and open the settings from within the app. Uncheck the 'Open using the home key' option.

There doesn't seem to be a way to disable it entirely, so it'll still open when swiping up from the bottom of the screen."

This is all i could find

Vibes in Northgate have covers and screen protectors. Covers are flip cover at 99 and screen protectors 30 a pop

Thank you, very sad that you can't uninstall it....just more bloatware on the phone. :(

I wish I could test/see this for myself. Can't imagine 3 hours of screen on time only consuming 12% of your battery.

Will charge it later and try to repeat the findings. The fiancee is here so it might be difficult to explain 3 hours of pokemon for a experiment :D

after a week of having mine, battery life has decreased a bit. it seems to be quick to lose in the beginning (10% gone in an hour with about 15min off screen on time) then yesterday I went from 20% to 9% from 6am to 8am, then at 11 it was 1%. charged to 10% and made it to the end of the work day.
