I have a quick question about the Note 3 and a USB 3 port on my laptop. Who else connects their phone with the USB3 Cable to a USB3 port?

When I connect mine Windows tells me that this device can perform faster on a USB3 port. The problem is I am using a USB3 port.

USB3 never works on my laptop. Something to do with the Samsung drivers.

Mine used to look like that.... Now it's just taking me back to my S4 days :-(

Download UK Firmware and Odin
Do factory reset
It reboots and erases
As soon as it reboots again press and hold Home + Power + Volume Down buttons
Menu should come up instantly
Flash phone and setup

Remember to backup everything first and when you restore don't restore settings and stuff. Only photos sms, call log, videos and also don't restore miscellaneous files. Keep the restore to a minimum. To restore whatsapp messages, just copy back whatsapp folder back to phone root directory, before downloading whatsapp.

Updated on Wednesday and my battery life has actually taken a bit of a nose dive. Used to be awesome, now it's just good. :-(

Both of you can try a Complete Power Down. Especially after updating to the latest Firmware, switch off the phone and remove the battery for a couple of minutes. This will do some magic reinitializing and battery life would return to normal.

Worked for me :D

Yea, try this first before going to drastic measures.

Ok... I did the battery pull last night already... Didn't make a difference.
The media download is a 500kb jpeg bluetoothed from my Mac, and Tunein was only running for 20mins today.
If I flash with Odin will it leave my Knox status unchanged?

As long as you flash original firmware KNOX will be fine.

No all stays the same. (Sorry for the bad pic, S4 lens dirty or something)

I think Im just going to flash the new UK BTU update. Do I need to wipe first or should I just flash with ODIN?

I didnt wipe when I flashed my old Note 2 and that went fine

I did factory reset to get rid of all the rubbish vodacom loads, but no a wipe is not needed.

I did a dirty flash twice, didn't have any issues but it's always recommend to do a factory reset first.

When I flashed the Polish version a while ago I did a factory reset before I flashed it. This time when I flashed the UK version I did a "dirty flash" as Dom1n8tr1x calls it. No issues at all. Just remember to do a battery pull. It really does make a huge difference.

I can do an early upgrade next month. Have the S3 and is thinking of going Note 3. I'm hoping the contract pricing will come own a bit in the next month or so. Currently it's R429 at most providers.
Not sure about the S5 yet.

Yes, I'm using the latest BTU (British) KitKat build. I have a Mega link if you're interested.

Hi can I get the latest Ver please.

And if I want to clear every single thing from my device first(I assume its called a clean flash), is this done through Odin 3.09 as well?

You can do a factory reset through your phone settings or recovery and clear the cache through recovery.

Edit: to get into Recovery press and hold Volume Up, Home and Power at the same time.

Gents, what's the fastest and most stable rom for the note 3. Was going for the Bobcat rom, but wanted your guys opinion. CyanogenMod 11 Android 4.4.2 KitKat seems to be the best, but not too sure
