So...I still don't get the USB3 option after the last update from Dominatrix(thanks again).

My apps in the app drawer is about 80. Including all the Samsung apps and stuff like calculator, contacts, camera, clock, etc...

Downloaded apps is 47.

I can't see myself having more than 100 apps and using all of them.

It all depends on what you use your phone for. Off course not all apps are used all the time, I would for example have five photo editing apps and each one has a feature that the others don't have. It's all about choice for me, I don't limit myself to just one app.

Don't worry mine has never worked properly, even on 4.3 My laptop is running Windows 8 and apparently the Samsung drivers doesn't play nice with Windows 8. I'll get it working on occasions, but I'm just not bothered with it anymore.

anyone using ES File Explorer? I want to access my computers without the need of entering a username and password. I did it before on windows 7 (8.1 now), forget how to do it now.

Do you pull down the taskbar when the USB3 cable is plugged into a USB3 port?

Ensure that you are using the USB3 data cable for the mobile and also ensure you are plugged into an USB3 port ...

Yeah I am using the usb3 cable that came with my phone, and I have a very recent motherboard and sure that I am using the USB3 ports on it. will tinker around later tonight.

As a matter of interest, when you plug your mobile into your USB3 port on the PC/laptop, does a little window pop up saying that if you use USB3 you will get faster throughput (words to that effect) ??? .. To my way of thinking, that would suggest that you have a working USB3 cable and its plugged into a USB3 port .. Therefore you 'should' see the click box for operating in USB3 mode ...

Must admit when I first tried what you are doing, I got all the 'right' prompts etc, but only after I used a different USB3 cable, (from my Seagate external USB3 hard drive) did everything actually work in USB3 - my original USB3 cable which came with the mobile still charges my phone and works on USB2 ports but won't work as USB3 !!

Thanks for mentioning this, I think I should also try a different USB 3.0 cable.

I have used a few USB3 cables and works every time with my note.
Drop down notification bar and hit USB sign, 3 option, MTP/PTP/USB3.0. I am running win7 and still on 4.3.
Just for your info
oh yes, and USB debugging is on. Maybe this makes a difference, dont know??
Turned it off, ad still get option for usb3.0, nevermind

No mine doesn't work nine out of ten times. I'm on Windows 8 and I rarely get the USB3.0 option on my phone. Sometimes it will work just after I restarted my laptop, but that's not a guarantee.

Must be windows 8 then

When I first purchased my N9005, for the next few days I also had 'intermittent' working with the supplied USB3 cable and a USB3 port (thought the USB3 port on the laptop was damaged) .. Laptop 64-bit running on Windows-7 Ultimate ...

After substituting to my external hard drive USB3 cable did things stabilise and now even after some months of use, it works every time ...

I have Windows 8.1 and my USB 3 is working Flawlessly.

I built my own pc or rather assembled and know that it's plugged into a USB 3 port.

I get about 70-80mb transfer rate to phone and just over 60 to memory card
