Someone who is not fussed to have the latest and greatest phone anymore? ;)

I returned that POS iPhone to its box and using my old S2 while waiting for the Nexus to arrive. Have to admit - this old S2 is a fine piece of kit. Little laggy, but doing everything I did with my Note 3 with no issues. Very impressive.

Got me thinking if I don't need to actually slow down my upgrade cycle. Hmmm... Ya right.

Exactly. I barely manage 3 months.

I have changed one or two widgets on my Note 2, and enjoying so much!

Last phone Samsung made with a full RGB subpixel display, the first being the Galaxy S2.

Oh, and last flagship phone to get FM radio with RDS.

Love my Note 2!!

It was my dad's birthday last Tuesday, gave him my old Note 2 which is basically still brand new. He's in the clouds with his "new" phone. I must admit I was a bit sad to see my Note 2 go, at least it's still in the family. :)

Can't say I miss the radio, although it was nice to have. I use TuneIn Radio whenever I want to listen to something on the radio.

I was back considering the Note 3. And then I read a review that said that with the Note 3 "low light conditions usually resulted in a blur, more so than my Galaxy S3, and the flash suffers from the same problem of all mobile phone camera flashes of being terrible" *

Is it as bad as he claims? Blurred subjects in a photo are a pet hate of mine. I realise most modern androids suffer this but I prefer to progress than regress.

Camera is high on the list of requirements I look for on a phone and I'd hate to think I were going backwards.... sadly I have already with modern phones . I yearn for the days when an android flagship will allow me to snap a picture of a spinning fan in a pitch dark room that results in a photo with frozen fan blades like my 2010 N8 gave me...

Don't get a Note 3. It's a crap phone.

Is that the cheapest phone that can run whatsapp? Looking for an el cheapo for my technophobic mom.

Yup, if you want quality and a physical keyboard.

Gonna get my mother one, as we all have sms bundles just for her... and her contract does have a 150mb data bundle.
