Definitely is. Battery life is 10x better, check few pages back for screenshots from my experience. Performance and all the extra tweaks you can do, makes worth it.

I am running at 289dpi vs the 480dpi is the best part.

Funny enough I moved to android to fiddle but I haven't done jack sheet...i am happy with original bit getting bored soon I will be going ahead with custom roms

The best part is that you get to keep all the stock apps with the feel of ASOP.....

Yeah as much as I love AOKP it would be pointless on a Note cos the some of the Samsung Apps are integral features of the phone IMHO.

Last noob q. The back up of EFS Partition is done in recovery via CWM/TWRP?

Reckon I'm going to take the plunge today and root my Note 3 and load X-Note onto it. Just a question, what do you guys use (other than titanium) to back your phones up? Bear in mind, phone is still stock hence titanium is NOT an option right now. Right now im backing up with MobileGO, I tried Carbon/Helium but unable to download the files for my PC. And I figured that Samsung Kies would be a no go since im not going to be using original Firmware. I basically want to back up all my AppData mainly.

Once rooted, run titanium backup before flashing the rom. It will backup apps plus their data. Just dont backup system apps.

Will root and flash either tonight or tomorrow. Just 2gig file from mega is a f**k up.

Thanks for this! But it actually wasn't needed. I backed up with MobileGo, and titanium and it didnt touch ANY of my files. Everything is still there. I remember with my s3, it used to wipe everything.

I stayed up till 4am customizing this rom. Im barely half way wow! Running 390 DPI with a 8x8 grid, its a bit laggy for now. Going to do a battery pull after this charge now. I had a funny white line, but it was a bug on the battery notification, fixed and resolved that. So far battery life is GREAT! It really goes into deep sleep, it lost like 0.5% during the night over a 6 hour period. Im just getting used to the S5 notification panel, the theme's arent that amazing, but using it with apex. I really wanted the Sense 5 theme from the infamous rom. I might download that and see if i can't just find the apk for that. But other than that, thanks for the rom guys!

Pleasure. Great to here that all went well. Have fun with the new toy :)
Well I rooted and installed X-Note this morning. Just a few thoughts:

1 - After I flashed CWM the phone took a really long time to restart.

2 - It was very hard to back up the EFS Partition. Only one app worked - SA Manager.

3 - Before installing the Rom I did a factory reset and cleared cache. Both processes took quite long.

4 - My phone status still says Official and ADH still in tact.

Overall it's not a difficult process. But I just have two questions.

1 - How do I make the staus bar transparent? I'm using Nova.

2 - My status bar is showing battery percentage as well as the battery. It's redundant and I changed it in X note settings but it's still there. Any help?

1. Check in nova launcher settings, look and feel if transparent status bar is active.
2. In battery stats, there is an option to show percentage or hide it.

Shot for all the help man. I sorted the battery out. The transparency is still a problem. Will sort it out later. Going to watch Xmen now.

Got to x-note app, extras, color mods, statusbar color, chexk alpha and change the slider to get transparency.

Hi guys I've got a problem with my S planner and S view cover. When I dismiss a calender notification it keeps coming up .... its driving me crazy. Please help!
