Hey guys, anyone running Cyanogenmod on their note? I want to try a custom ROM, but Cyanogenmod only :P

Hi guys

I have had my Note 3 for about 5months now on Vodacom. From about May it has constantly been losing network. It will be on "No service" or "emergency calls only". Anyone knows what's causing this and any ideas on how I can fix the problem? I've called Vodacom support and they didn't offer any assistance

how old is your sim card?
maybe try a sim swop?

I am asking the same thing in the S5 thread.

The camera on the S5 for me is not a selling point. Don't use it much. My main uses will be calling, social media, internet, youtube videos, managing my meetings at work (not emails - use tablet for that).

Initially excluded the Note, but since it is cheaper (marginally) i thought it is worth a look.

The Note is better at especially videos and browsing due to the larger screen.

So apparently my Note 3 got a decent score on Antutu Benchmark:

I'm running Android 4.4.2 unbranded. I always have battery saver enabled so I am pretty happy with the results. I'm not sure if it is on par with other Note 3's. It shows that it got a better result than other Note 3's, but I highly doubt it.

I am on 4.4.2 n9005 and my Antutu score is 38500 :D Also makes me super happy to see it above the other cool phones :p

I have two Note 3 phones, both identical LTE N9005 models. I ran the Antutu benchmark tests on both units, and I'm now a bit concerned.

White Note 3 N9005 LTE benchmark speed - 35410
Black Note 3 N9005 LTE benchmark speed - 26840

I have run the tests many times and the results consistently shows the black one at around 24000 - 26000 (around the same speed as a NOTE 2). NOTE: Both have almost identical apps on each device, so it is not like one is being slowed down due to other processes running in the background.

What makes me concerned, is that the black one I bought in December has had Vodacoms fingers inside it. Last month there was a problem with the RF board inside, and Vodacom replaced the entire board inside it....now I am wondering if they replaced the internal RF board with the correct processor/RAM etc. I have checked under details, and it shows the same CPU as my newer white one. What could Vodacom have done to turn this N9005 into a sluggish device ?

I bought the new white N9005 while the black one was in for repair (last month) - I couldn't bear the thought of being without a NOTE 3 while the other was away for repairs :)

mine just did the weirdest thing. watched that net neutrality video george takei shared last night and the video was rather shakey. I assumed it was intentional. when it got to the end bit, the top 5% of the video was popping up at the bottom of the screen (full screen mode) and then when I hit the back button, it just went ape-poop and tiled the screen. never seen that before.

Mine did that before. I couldn't remember what app I used but it did not go away until I rebooted my phone. It was very strange, but it did not happen since

Bored of the note 3, can we have a note 4 already:) cant get my head around 2yrs of ownership.

Some useless info for all.

Yeah me too. I still love the Note 3 since it is only about a months old. I trade my phone a few times during the 24 month contract. I get bored very easily with a phone.

Where can I get the latest CWM and the stock KitKat OS? The one that is targeted for this country, not the Poland or UK or whatever version.
