I dropped my Note 3 on tiles and the phones silver bezel is dented, scratched and cracked. The S-Pen has also stopped working.

What will be the best way to get my Samsung Galaxy Note 3 repaired?
How long will the repair take because I need my phone.
Will this be covered by the ADH warrantee?

I'm in Durban.

What do you all think the resale value will drop to after the Note 4 release? Have a friend looking for a phone but it's out of budget at the moment

Soooooooo... I switched back to TouchWhiz today. Trying out Omega 22.1... Missed the S-Pen features. It's almost like stock, just debloated with minor tweaks.

Hi you could try towelroot i have rooted successfully without tripping knox my Firmware is N9005XXUENC2 u can use the phone info tool from the market to check if it is the same as mine.View attachment 155422
Thanks, Towelroot worked fine (www.towelroot.com), Knox is not tripped, said I have root and reboot not required. Apps requiring root work fine including Titanium Backup and Helium Backup in root mode. I did download SuperSU and when prompted to update the binaries did so, but then SuperSU asked if I wanted to disable Knox I declined and it said update failed. But all is working well.

Anyone here doing the upgrade to a Note 4?

I'd considered it (upgrade at month end) but can't justify the cost.... Seems to be the 4 isn't a big enough jump from the 3 to necessitate the switch?

Thoughts?

My thoughts too.

I also have a upgrade due 1st of November but don't think it's worth it to get the Note 4.

My Note 3 is still considered one of the best phones money can buy.

Agree to both... think I'll stick to my Note 3 for now

Why would you not want the Note 4, if you are a Note 3 user?

Better screen, better s pen, better camera, better build quality, more powerful.

To me it's a no brainer.

This - it's the biggest evolution jump in the Note series.

That's only if you're due for an upgrade - otherwise the Note 3 is still more than capable.

And that will be true for every new phone/Note that gets released. What's your point?

The Note 3 already has a full HD display, so I doubt if you will really see much of a difference. When I was playing with the Note 4, a woman compared her Note 3 display next to the 4, and I couldn't see much of a difference.

Note 2 users will see a huge difference, as their displays are 720p.

You misunderstand. I never said the Note 3 is now suddenly a bad phone... It's still an awesome phone. But if you have an upgrade... use it, or what else would you be waiting for? The Note 7? If money is a issue, then don't get it...

But if you have an upgrade... and the contracts costs is not an issue... why the hell won't you?

The biggest jump was from Note 2 to Note 3.

The jump from Note 3 to Note 4 is definitely not that big that I feel I have to upgrade.

Maybe I feel different when I get to the store on the day I upgrade but I'm not going to bet on that.

Is the problem that you would rather save money on contract costs? Or are you considering something else?

For me, it would cost R250 more than I'm paying now to go from the Note 3 to the Note 4.

So I'm going to wait a while.

The SO is in need of a new phone, so this upgrade is going to her.
