Is there a way to change/remove the two notification menu options under the functions and brightness section? (S Finder and Quick Connect)

What's the better option, root it or lollipop it ?
I never rooted a phone before and some people root a phone as soon as they possibly can.l l

I don't personally want to root my phone while it is still under ADH warranty. Unless you want extreme customizations you can get a great experience by simply going to lollipop or even just installing a good launcher and other apps to improve the stock touch-wizz samsung interface.

Upgrade to lollipop was easy and it's official, so you can try that and always root and go custom afterwards.

So my battery is set to last about 28 hours so far on Lollipop :) Not too bad for a day of use

decided to give the russian lollipop a try. haven't gone through the root and flash thing with a phone in ages. think i remember it being easy with my s2.

Absolutely loving Lollipop so far... It truly is a much better experience than KitKat. Small details that keep me smiling. I haven't been tempted to root and go with a custom ROM just yet, but if it can be this great going from KitKat to Lollipop I can't imagine how good a proper custom ROM has to be.

Custom roms are the bizness...

Has anyone on 5.0 noticed if their alarm icon stays on in the notification bar even if the alarms are off? It doesn't matter, but it's pretty annoying :(

Loving lollipop so far. Loaded the Russian rom - first time I've ever flashed a phone using Odin.

What's that?

go to general -> about
tap many times on "android version 5.0" and when a ball appears, tap that a lot and it turns into a lollipop. then you rub it with your finger like it's a scratch on your car and boom! flappy android. :D

My battery life seems pretty poor after lollipop.
Using the sm-n900 with the spider rom ,which is the stock rom without bloatware and pre rooted.

Running with battery saver mode screen around 40% brightness.

I do get a full day out of it which is ok.

It takes a week or 2. I had poor battery life then suddenly it shot to 25 - 28 hours of usage with a good 5 - 8 hours screen on time, depending if i have wifi on and 3G off etc etc.

Does anyone else have issues with Youtube and html5 streams freezing after 40 seconds and having to restart the stream to get it going again?

Is there a new version of Touchwizz on this update? I'm still running stock firmware (Kitkat) and the Touchwizz is looking very dated. I started using Nove recently and can't complain about the overall look and feel.
