link if you may?

the note 3 my MIL have been using has burned up during charge, actually started to melt the back cover. It still works fine, but if you try to charge it with the battery in, it charges 1% and then stops and says the battery is getting too hot. So if i can charge it externally, and have a spare battery to swop out with, she should be good to go.

Here you go:

How do the Paki batteries compare to a Samsung one? I want to get a new battery for my Note 3, battery life has steadily declined after more than two and a half years, but I'm not sure if I should go with something cheaper. I don't need the combo where you can externally charge.

They work, not quite to the original capacity but probably better than what you have currently.

I think the NFC is part of the battery, and very possible the generics might not have this

A colleague wants my phone due to the excellent condition/extras and im looking at upgrading, what shall I tax him?

Seems i might be leaving the Note3 realm - OnePlus 3 might be on the way if SO's hints are anything to go by. Havent had a single issues with this device and it still rocks - been running a CM13 based ROM for the past 1.5yrs though and that increased the enjoyment. Great device.

I agree .
Just got the S7 and not sure which phone i like the best note 3 or S7 , note 3 is such a good phone .

^ speaking of ROMs, what's the good ones currently while still keeping the S-Pen functionality?

It looks like my lens is cracked or has a scratch on it. The Samsung repair center said I would need to leave the phone there for a whole day to get a quote. I don't have an extra phone, so the day seems too long to me. What do you guys think it would cost to replace the lens, or the entire camera module?

You need to learn how to Bing...

Also, if you are on the east rand, I can direct you to a repair place that will quote you on the spot.

I'm not going to do it myself. I don't know what their labour rate + module selling price are. I'm in Port Elizabeth.

TTS?
They are open Saturdays or at least in the morning. Make an appointment for Saturday? You will have to make an appointment for Saturdays and that type of job.

That looks more like a hair or fibre and dust in the lens.

I dont have money for a new one (Note 4 or 5) so this is what I keep telling myself.
