Up and running.

Definitely newer as it has the March security patch vs the February one on MID.

Rest looks the same so far.

Cool. OTA should be available very soon now.

Something else. How much are the Original Samsung Wireless Chargers going for?

Not sure.... also looking for one but can't seem to find one. Best bet would be to go to a Samsung store.

Damn!! I just flashed the CAM version today, feels great but to be honest performance wise its alil improvement, note 5 was already quick on lollipop, well atleast for me, only thing i see improvement on is the fingerprint scanner..its insanely fast now..battery wise I'm still monitoring!

Marshmallow ...v v6.0.1 available .Samsfirmware ....PRODUCT CODE ......... XFE

http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/download/66940/N920CXXU2BPBA_N920COJV2BPBA_XFE/

just make sure its your carrier .I think its ...????
I Google for " Product code " and results seems to be very confusing ..? XFA, XFE and XFV
As far as i know XFV is Vodacom .
i also found this ,its seems nobody is sure...??
South Africa (unlocked) ----> XFA
South Africa CellC ----> XFC
South Africa Vodacom ----> XFV
If this has been change or correct i do not know .

Not sure. If it was MTN, wouldn't it be available OTA?

Yes correct, if you Google around you will see conflicting results
Some post refers to it that MTN was ? XFM ?
hoping some member can inform us
I personally think its MTN.
However , when i queried this update issue with Vodacom (in the past )
they informed me that the procedure was as follows :
that they(Vodacom ) receive Firmware via Samsung SA ,
then test it and return to Samsung SA to test if Firmware is ok
and then Samsung SA send it to Samsung ,Korea etc .?
(main office) where it will be placed on server .The update will be place in a queue and depending how busy servers are, be release Ota accordingly .A day or two later Samsfirmware/etc servers ,will capture ROM /firmware and place it on their servers .
Point i am trying to make is that ,surely if Samsung SA ,has the firmware V6.0.1
sent it to carriers and Vodacom is sitting on it ..will Vodacom tell you ..no
bottom line "flashing " via ODIN , a wrong carrier Firmware is going to cause you some "big problems ?/issues "Its not like you are flashing a unbranded ROM/firmware with multi "CSC " product codes .
hope somebody can clearify ...XFE and results ?
Good luck ,

Who cares for which carrier it is ?

I downloaded via samfirm, flashed it and so far so good. No Issues, no bloatware from any carrier that I can see. No reference to any carries as well.

Battery seems to improvedo but to early to really say it has. Feels smoother an snappier all over.

BTW, my box it came in had xfa on. Got it from mtn.

Please screenshot your battery use at the end of the day, battery on this CAM version seems worse than lollipop

hi,
Thank you for replying,
Yes, i have downloaded many times from Sam's firmware, but then it was always multi CSC product code and unbranded international version eg Germany, Netherlands , ECC contries, Norway etc., onto my branded carrier devices. No issues.
However if you are trying to flash from one branded carrier eg MTN branded to Vodacom branded.... i would be very careful... i won't do
it. If it was a SA unbranded, (yes i have in past. ) No issues.
That is reason why i am trying to pinpoint XFE because if it is SA unbranded also...? i will flash it; Reason is its better to flash complete ROM /Firmware than Ota.
I was originally planning taking Ota and then afterwards downloading complete ROM and flashing it. Reason being that i had minor bugs in Android v5. 1.1
eg auto rotate not working out of box and the Firmware update afterwards did not help.
I reported to issues to Samsung SA (October 2015) received reference number etc, all their fixes /advice, did not help. I had to use and still using, a third party auto rotate app, to enable auto rotate.!
Anyway if any forum members know /info on my above post.. please post
thank you.

I don't agree.

I have a LG G4 and I think I'm the only one who did a OTA in the G4 thread and as far as I know my phone's battery performance was and is still the best.

I had no issues at all with my phone and the other guys who downloaded and flashed all had some sort of issue.

I'm going to wait for the OTA. Last time I waited and it surely paid off.

In short I had the CAM version of mm initially them went to to MID version and now on XFE and no issue at all. My phone now had 4 different "brands" on then, xfa, cam, mid and now xfe.

Would recommend you go read up on what csc is and how it works.

In all essens n920c firm for all regions are exact same, the csc of each region just makes regional change like like language availability in settings and LTE instead of 4g on mobile signal and so on.

Hi, thanks for replying.
i am aware of how CSC works.
(been around flashing game fo a long time.)
Just that all my other devices are rooted eg Note 2,3,4 but not Note5. so i dont want to mess around to much( re Banking apps etc.)
I know flashing official firmware does not trip Knox etc, but do you have to enable OEM unlock (developers options) for flashing official Samsung firmware? .( This was not necessary with my other devices, in past)
Yes, you are generally correct re CSC, but
there are other issues /carrier bloatware apps
, how your device is identified etc.
Bottom line, i am not going to download +-
1.9 Gig and find issues with it.
That is why i wanted to know more about XFE.
If you have XFE, on your device, plse share with me, re What carrier you are on? and any bugs, issues.?
thank you.
