Samsung Galaxy Note 7 (previously Note 6)

I've emailed Vodacom requesting an explanation of the recall process. Have received the normal confirmation email with ticket number. Will advise of I get any sense out of them.

Same here. Still haven't heard anything, so guess they don't know.

Also waiting to upgrade, but not until we get a very clear indication of batch numbers/serial numbers that are safe.

Wonder if VodaCom will send all "early" Note 7's back.

Imagine they don't and something happens, will be a pretty nasty PR nightmare.

This was my email to Vodacom:
""Good day*

I have pre-ordered a Note which should have been delivered today. On Thursday I was advised that delivery would not take place as "samsung had recalled the devices". As a device had been allocated to me (reference number12060058), I would like to have the assurance that,* that possibly defective device, would not be delivered to me.*

It would be greatly appreciated if you could supply more information of implementation plan for the local recall and restocking.*

Best regards*

Please be kind enough to post reply if/when you get an answer.

That's just perfect! Well done.

Between Vodacom's crap system never being online or handling such insanely difficult tasks like upgrading and this damn controversy i think i might stick to my Note 4.
Still on my note 4 here. I see no point upgrading even though my contract about to end.

Although the Note 7 does look like a cracker! No pun intended.

I felt the same about my Note4 but I really wanted to upgrade to the Note7, but with all the issues and delays I decided on the S7 Edge.

I'm very happy with my new phone, and when using my Note4 now it's definitely showing its age. The S7 Edge is just.....well perfect! I may still decide to get a Note7 or 8 if I find that I miss the spen too much.
