Samsung Galaxy Note 7 (previously Note 6)

Think I'm pretty much done with the Note7, hope Samsung can recover from this.

Waiting to see LG V20 Battery Results, if they are anything like Note7, I'm jumping ship!

Samsung spokesperson released the following statement to FOX 13 News.

"We are aware of the incident and we are working with Mr. Dornacher to investigate his case and ensure we do everything we can for him. Consumer safety is Samsung's highest priority. With regard to the Galaxy Note7, we are asking owners to take advantage of the Product Exchange Program announced on Friday of last week. The program offers Note7 owners the opportunity to exchange the phone for a new one.

But not a new car when your Note 7 blows up and turns your car into a smouldering wreck...
 
It's really a pity it's getting such negative publicity. It's honestly to date the best android phone ive ever used. I love it to bits!
 
The Note7 is actually perfect for areas where people are prone to be "liberated" from their mobile devices. Imagine a thief stealing someones Note7 only to have it blow up in their face...

Have you confirmed with Samsung or your service provider that your Note 7 came from a batch that is definitely clean? I seem to remember reading somewhere that the SA batch was an unaffected batch.
 
Just got a call from Samsung South Africa. They will be sending my replacement phone. They gave me 2 options. The only have Gold in the new batch right now. The offered me a Gold Note 7 replacement or am S7 to use while I wait for a black Note. Going to take the gold note.

And the airlines have started banning it's use.

Qantas, Jetstar, Virgin Australia and Tiger Airways have banned passengers from using or charging Samsung Galaxy Note 7 smartphones on planes over concerns their batteries could explode or catch fire.

The airlines have introduced the ban following Samsung's recall of its Galaxy Note 7 smartphones, which was launched in August.

The move by the Australian airlines comes as the US Federal Aviation Administration "strongly" advised plane passengers not to use Galaxy Note 7s and recommended against charging the devices on-board or stowing them in checked baggage. In a statement on its website overnight, the FAA said its advice came "in light of recent incidents and concerns raised by Samsung" about the phones.
