Ok, seeing as you are a bit dim let's help.

The first link is an advisory by the FAA in the USA RECOMMENDING that owners don't use their phone whilst on a plane or put their Note 7 in checked luggage when flying.

The second story is that the Australian airlines have now BANNED the use of, and charging of the Note 7 on their aircraft IN AUSTRALIA.

Now hopefully even those of limited intellect can see that the links are 2 separate and unique stories perhaps someone could take their rolling eyes and shove them where the sun don't shine...

So what is the prices on the Note 7 not that I am going that route anymore.
 
New advice from Samsung.

Switch off your Note 7 and DO NOT USE IT, return it to your retailer as soon as possible.

A statement by Samsung, the world's biggest mobile phone maker, said "our customers' safety is an absolute priority".

"Until a replacement device is provided, Samsung asks all customers with a Galaxy Note 7 smartphone to power down your device and return it to its place of purchase at your earliest opportunity," the statement added.

Samsung is committed to producing the highest quality products and we take every incident report from our valued customers very seriously. In response to recently reported cases of the new Galaxy Note7, we conducted a thorough investigation and found an isolated battery cell issue.

There have been a small number of cases reported globally and we are currently conducting a thorough inspection with our suppliers to identify possible affected batteries in the market. However, because our customers’ safety is an absolute priority at Samsung, we have stopped sales of the Galaxy Note7.

For customers who already have Galaxy Note7 devices, we now ask that you power down your device and return to using your previous phone. We will voluntarily replace your Galaxy Note7 device with a new one, beginning on September 19th. For more details on what to do next please see below.

We acknowledge the inconvenience this may cause in the market but this is to ensure that Samsung continues to deliver the highest quality products to our customers. We are working closely with our partners to ensure the replacement experience is as convenient and efficient as possible.

Banned by Emirates, Etihad and FlyDubai airlines today as well.

Dubai: Travellers who own Samsung’s fire-prone Note 7 smartphone will no longer be able to use or charge them while on board UAE airlines, officials said.

Etihad and Flydubai issued statements on Saturday barring in-flight use of the phone, which was recalled earlier this month by Samsung after reports of burning and exploding batteries. The statements come after aviation authorities in the UAE, Europe, the US, India and Singapore issued similar bans or advisories on the use of the phone on planes.

The UAE’s General Civil Aviation Authority banned the use of the device on board, Saif Mohammad Al Suwaidi, director-general, General Civil Aviation Authority, said on Saturday. The authority also banned the transport of Note 7 in luggage.

Emirates said it would “advise” customers not to turn the devices on while on the plane — or put them in checked baggage.

“Emirates can confirm that with immediate effect it will advise customers not to turn on or charge their Samsung Galaxy Note 7 smartphones during flights or stow them in checked baggage due to concerns over the phone’s fire-prone batteries,” the airline said in a statement issued to Gulf News on Saturday.

TBH, I haven't even looked at the plans yet and am waiting for things to settle down before making a decision. I'm out of the country until end of the month so will see what's cooking when i'm home :)

I agree with you. It is a pity that a problem with a battery (which I am sure Samsong will fix) now puts people off what seems to be a good product otherwise.

If a wellknown car manufacturer develops a problem with an airbag the cars are recalled and the problem fixed.

You don't get a new car.......

Just my thoughts.

Still want it with the normal body however. Don't like the edge shape.
