Samsung Galaxy S

Yip I guess I can wait a few more days...My contract with cellcr@p expires on the 7th :-) Actually don't mind waiting for MTN as R319 sounds allot more appealing than what Vodacom has to offer and I'm not a heavy user so MTN 200 should suit me fine.

I ordered mine on Vodacom Topup 315 for R1279 payin (or +- R70pm finance added).
This hits the sweet spot for me between the MTN200 and 350 packages.
Don't go for Topup 275 though, as the payin is about R2700 !!!

Alright guys and gals, after playing around with the phone A LOT today (and I'm still playing - "swyping" on it right now), I can attest to the fact that it is absolutely friggin AWESOME! I wasn't a fan of previous Samsung phones, but Samsung now gained a huge fan! Make sure you pick one up a.s.a.p...

Quick question. Does anyone know what settings to put in to get mms working?
I am also using handcent. deleted the original messaging app.

Will be available with MTN on MTN100 for R259.00, no pay in.
Think I'll be doing that and add 1GB adhoc to roll over for 60 days.
MTN currently don't have stock, but I'm going to be doing my app and getting my name on the list in the meantime :D

Also available on MTN200 for R319.00 with no pay in and there are more expensive deals as well, naturally.

Same here. Apperantly you can get the phone on CellC, but they sux so much, that I am porting to MTN. Don't need the nice CellC 4G data deal, have internet already and wifi. :)

That makes no sense, you're paying effectively R400 a month when you could have more airtime on MTN for the same price.

The difference is that on Vodacom you can use the airtime that you get as part of the contract to buy data and sms bundles. On MTN you can only use the airtime as airtime. If you want bundles you either have to buy them separately or load additional airtime on your phone to purchase a bundle with. The VC contract is slightly more expensive, but it gives you way more options.

I was at CellC in Canal Walk and they know nothing about it - though the guy working in the store is raring to get it as he wants it too.
Nothing on their deals sheets at the moment.

The only place in Canal Walk that seemed to know anything was Altech Cellular and then I would have to wait for 2 weeks to get the phone. I am going to get mine on Vodacom Top up 315 with the R69 per month pay in from Vodacom4u in Cavendish. They say I will have the phone on wednesday :D . I was going ot go for the MTN anytime 200, but this was basically decided when walking into MTN canal walk, and not one person seemed interested in helping me. What does this say about their service?
