Samsung Galaxy S

I have to upgrade in 2-3 months and I am seriously considering this phone. What I would like to know is how much data you use up in an average month? As this is probably the best phone out there I might just consider using it as my modem aswell and just buy a 2gig bundle. I am in between this phone and the torch, but as the torch doesn't have all the functionality I want I will only consider it if it gets the pricecut it got in the US. Atleast with the BB I don't have to worry about data.

Haha, I'm in Dbn :( It's really annoying, because I phoned the courier and they have the phone, but can't deliver it today and won't let me pick it up. lame.

Same here :( ordered mine yesterday only receiving it on Tuesday seeing im also in the Durb'z area. It's gonna be one insanely long weekend! Then we still have to charge it.. GRRrrrr!

Another thing I wanted to ask you guys is, what insurance are you going to be using? The vodasure band 4 covers R7500 but what bothers me is for a R110p/m you still have to pay 10% when you claim and thats pretty steep to me.

What are you complaining about? Just pop an SD in there and the storage increases dramatically! I REALLY don't care about it being the 8GB model... The phone is still the same! Mine should be here any moment...

True for both plus the the one Vodacom is selling has 16GB in total.

8GB of memory plus an 8GB micro SD card.

I'm selling the US variant of it and that comes standard with 16GB internally and 2GB MicroSD with the movie Avatar.

AAANNDDD?? Stop moaning about space and tell us how nice the screen looks, how nice the touch screen works, how snappy the OS is.. get on with it already!!! :D :p
 
GOT MY PHONE! Charging as I'm typing...

OS is pretty fast - better than the iPhone 3GSs around here... Screen is absolutely breathtaking and typing is dead accurate!
 
I'm absolutely blown away by the phone. It exceeded my expectations by far. I'm now SO glad I didn't get the Desire a couple of months ago... :D
