Samsung Galaxy S10

Awwww yissss! Dark mode for Gmail finally - update seems to have made things a bit snappier on my S10, too. Let's see how battery life gets on now.
 
So. Last time I rooted a phone was when I jailbroke my iPhone 5. For Apple, I can see the advantage because it enables mass storage.

But what's the benefits for rooting an S10, as Android is already open source?
 
Anyone having issues with Whatssapp calling since the android 10, s10 update on the vodacom network?

Also does disconnecting my phone before it reaches 100% charge is their any problems or is the phone meant to be dis charged when ever?

WQHD+ uses a lot of juice. And your eyes can't really notice the difference anyway (well, mine can't).
 
So, I decided to root using Magisk. Went as planned, but then couldn't get into any banking apps (I only bank on my phone), so rolled it back and reinstalled official firmware. Banking works again (phew) but, unfortunately, I've now tripped Knox, so Samsung Health and Pass no longer work. I never bothered with Pay, so not really phased. Health and Pass were pretty useful, though. And obviously my warranty is now void, too (but knew that before I rooted).

Did some reading up, and it turns out that Samsung service centres can actually set the fuse back to 0x0? And that's without replacing the motherboard. Apparently, no-one else on XDA or anywhere else has been able to figure out how they do it.

Will being 0x1 stop me receiving OTA updates, too?

There is nothing stopping you from acting like a "dumb blonde" and taking the phone into Samsung.
Say it was not working well after the last update and now Samsung Health and Samsung Pass do not work and deary me...
You rolled back to the official firmware, which is the 1st thing they will check.
If they are suspicious, blame your brother, aunt, Santa...

Edit your build.Prop line to enable health again on it.

I was looking for a stock build. I got my phone through Vodafone, so it came with the usual bloatware that, in addition to all the extra crap Samsung puts on their phones, can't be uninstalled. And mostly got bored, I guess, and wanted to play around with some custom ROMs.

I'm sure you know by now that you can just download and install stock firmware from Sammobile.com.
Go for the UK firmware as they always get updated first.
Gets rid of an awful lot of voda-red.

Already done. He was just asking why I'd do it.
 
Normally about 1% per hour. You can see what it's using in the battery usage section.
 
I've all but given on battery savings on 10e.... Just bought me aQC bank, problem solved!!! I've tried what I could on the net, still.... Fully charged last me till about 13:00 or so.... Well, maybe my consumption is quiet due to I'm on the phone alot, but I would thought at least till I get home to charge!!!! But, anyway problem solved!!!!!

Jeez, that doesn't sound right. From full charge on my S10 when I get up until I finish work at about 5, I'll end up on over 50% with average use. Never actually set out to test it, but still, sounds like your battery is dying. Unless, of course, it's permanently stuck to your hand with max screen brightness and WiFi searching on (your phone constantly having to search for new signals - WiFi AND mobile - rapes the battery).
