Samsung Galaxy S10

You have to use the genuine Samsung adapter. Having said that, a 2A adapter might not say fast charging, but gives you a healthy charge anyway.
If you're not sure use the app ampere.
Bought a new charger recently and it's doing the same thing I have to basically unplug the charger in and out for it to say fast charging.

That doesn't sound right.
Send it in to get checked up?
Something running in the background?
Sounds like some sort of cryptomining malware raping resources. Phone isn't going to run hot or drain battery otherwise (looking at screen time claims, etc).

@cavedog: Have any random apps been installed lately? Or worse, apps direct from .apk instead of the Play Store?
Get totally draconian.
Download firmware from Sammobile.com.
Then backup all your apps & data to Samsung.
Only then do a total factory reset.
Once you're done, see how things are. If you still have problems use Odin and apply your downloaded firmware.
If you still have problems after that then you need a professional repair.
Maybe try a factory reset and see how it behaves and reload your apps one by one?
I really hate taking the phone in, those so called 'techies' damage the phone even more. Your phone will never be the same.

So I knew it was something with Vodacom VoLTE that was causing it. Today again the drain was just too much and having unplugged it at around 06:30 or so by 10am it was less than 50% with almost no screen time.

Called Vodacom had them disable VoLTE. Switched phone off and on and battery drain stopped. Here is the graph with VoLTE on at the start. Look at how steep the line goes down then the second 2 the line is not going down as steep. Only difference is VoLTE on and second VoLTE disabled network side from the simcard.

You don't need to use a genuine adapter or cable to fast charge. I have a couple of generic aliexpress quickcharge 3.0 and 2.0 charges with generic Chinese brand type c cable and S10 shows fast charging on all of them. Some charges does not show fast charging but the recharging time is the same as fast charges usually the ones with 2a or more output on 9v I think.

Anyone recommend a good screen protector for the S10?
Still got the original plastic on my screen still.

Told me 2-3 working days
Charging port is faulty but because its connected to the Board both have to be changed

Even reported the battery as awful.
The exact same thing happened to me with my S7 edge. Samsung in Canal Walk "replaced" the board.
After a week of bad performance ending in it no longer charging again (only wireless charging) I took it back to them. This time it took 3 weeks to get back as they sent it elsewhere for repair.
Phone seemed fine after that, but I was dubious so sold it a month later.

Mine was charging just wasn't fast charging at times.

I hope you have good service from the beginning. I was always suspicious that they tried to repair my phone right there in the shop and when it wasn't successful they had to send it away to do it properly.
A month without a phone was a bitch.
I can't manage a day
I'm using an A30 it's dual sim I can add my WhatsApp but I'm using it as a detox can't always be an addict.

They told me 2-4 working days I reported a few faults.

If you're like me and wear glasses you might find it difficult to see the always on display at night.
There is a very nice alternative to the AOD display called Amoled.
It is worth a look. They guy even does a nice notch battery bar.
It's not an advert per se, I just found the wee AOD to be frustrating.
It's easy to find - look for the icon 12 05.

Always on display drains massive battery though.
