I ordered a few cheap ones from DX.com. Works reasonably well for the price.

As for the phone, still runs very nicely with CM11. Its taken a beating and still survives (Crashed my quad with the s2 mounted on:D)
 
WizzedKAT ROM is still rocking on my S2!! Love it. :)

Fixed the transparency bar.....now it's a full-fledged Galaxy S5 mini. :D

 
Kingrob what colour is the bar when you have apps open?
EG. Pull down the notification shade, Settings, Whatsapp, email, etc..
 
Fully transparent, so if app also has white background, it's more difficult to see the white text.

But it really does not bother me.
 
The WizzedKat Rom is really fantastic. Wow!

Feels exactly the same as the day I first installed the leaked version of the official JellyBean ROM.

Two of the best features of this ROM for me are the ability to switch off camera shutter sound and have a torch icon in your quick settings bar, almost like some of the old Nokias with dedicated key on keyboard for flashlight.

Oh, and the new Touchwiz UI is starting to grow on me.
 
What is the most "pure" stocklike custom rom out there? Literally just a copy of kitkat made to work for the s2 without any extra code or other bits. If I put it on it would seem just like a nexus device. Oh and also the most stable. Thanks! :)
 
CM is closest in terms of stability. I have seen some roms try going the pure Nexus route, but there is always some or other shortcoming.

Ah, so you gave your son a S5 mini for free. Glad I could help. :)

Like I have said earlier, this ROM is so stable, it actually feels like a leaked Kitkat ROM from Samsung.

And the extra stuff added to the ROM, just makes it exceptional.
 
Thanks. The Whizzedkat ROM looks pretty good. Still would prefer a more android type vibe. Cyagenmod ~ ala CM that seems to look like stock android? and what is clockwork mod - saw that somewhere else. Thanks

Clockwork mod is simply a kernel that contains the recovery boot mode that you need to install most roms.
