So after more than a year on a Samsung based rom, Alliance and NeatRom, I have finally tried Omni Rom. Works well, nice and smooth and like the change in looks a bit. Feels like a new phone. ;)

I do miss SPlanner though... :(

Won't SPlannet work if you restore it with TB?

It's not so bad! Trust me on this. :D

I just realised in another thread that the Galaxy S2 got released in February 2011, which makes my phone 3 years and 3 months old. ;)

Hehe, just my opinion. I couldn't last 2 days with it. Maybe the stock ROM doesn't like my phone but it feels laggy to me, the standby time is horrible and the Jelly bean interface seems dated (that may just be Touchwiz though). Also had issues with the Wifi, it would be connected but then become super slow when waking the screen again, very weird.

Back on CM11 and my standby times are back to normal, can go an entire day at work and when I get home the battery is still at 80%.

I've disabled all Samsung apps + any apps not needed & it's pretty good.

Get my day out of it and it feels snappy and responsive.

No issues with the stock camera. I use the VSCO camera app mostly probably the best camera app out there.

Been using the May 20th CM11 nightly and it's been brilliant. Forgot to put my phone on charge last night yet I still have 19% battery from yesterdays charge. No fc's, no strange crashes, everything works. Now I'm scared to update to a later nightly because this one is so stable.

Mmmm.....my phone is rock-solid with official XFA 4.1.2 ROM.

Think my sister will give me my other S2 back when she upgrades, then I will use that as my ROM experimenter.

I need my phone to be stable for work purposes.

2 schools of thought:
1. Nandroid backup and test future releases - you can always restore
2. If it ain't broken, don't fix it

I'm leaning towards number 2. Sounds like a lot less effort, I'll watch the changelogs and only change if something exciting is added.

So what 4.4 ROM should I be using on my S2? Recommend me the best one in your opinion.
