Samsung Galaxy S23

Hi guys,
Finally in a position to complete my trade-in - and am using this link - https://trade-in.regener8group.co.za/guaranteed-value-10k-s23/#tradein

Which seems to be the 10k guaranteed link, but it's no longer giving back the R10k - instead it's now giving the value of the phone if you used the normal trade in link. Anybody else experienced this when attempting the trade-in?

Will be a schlep to go into the store now

@Fishzn

Are you using a link you found or are you going in manually? Exact thing happens as you said.

You need to visit the link from the order page. Asks to trade in, say Yes and click the link. For some reason it doesn't like being externally linked if that makes sense.

Try that and update us.

Ah ok - I've actually bought it from Telkom on contract and not the store directly. So don't have that link.

I've used the link I pasted in my post above previously (which I originally got from a post in this thread) and it did give me the R10k value initially. But looks like they've closed up this backdoor. Guess I will have to go in directly to Telkom store now

This link works: https://trade-in.regener8group.co.za/guaranteed-value-10k-s23/#tradein

What phone are you trading in?

Sometimes you need to refresh the page

Is the Promo offer ending effectively tomorrow night? Or will it be extended to 6 March? Is the best deal / safest option at this point to go into a Samsung store?

Hey, it's an S10 128gb. I use that same link and input this phone with everything in working order - and it gives me the trade in value below - like it gave me on the "switchtogalaxy" normal trade in link.Screenshot - 01 Mar 2023 , 8_05_04 PM.png

I got the R10k full value like 2 weeks ago when I checked the same phone on this "guaranteed value" link. Will try another browser and then VPN to see if that makes any difference.

Can anybody check the link with some any random phone chosen to see if they're getting R10k or not?

Strange. Works for me using your trade-in phone.

Please follow instructions from my post above to see if you get the proper amount ?:)

@Fishzn Tried a few more models. Refreshed page before entering model number. No changes to condition. All YES options.

@Yuu I'll try a bit later thanks

Can one easily buy the phone and then thereafter get the R10k trade in offer?

I'm thinking I need time to get everything I need off of my old S21.

Yes. Currently the 10k promotion is valid until the 30th April. Just make sure you claim within 30 days after purchasing the S23.

Also, I would recommend selling your S21 privately and then obtaining a cheap S10 or similar for the trade-in and use that to get the 10k back. You might score more.

Can confirm I was getting the same low values for my trade-in originally. Went back to main page and clicked on banner and then it changed to the full 10K.

However it doesn't accept the submission at the end, just states:

'Please validate DataField with id '2573' before registering Trade-in.'
which I believe is the new IMEI field (which should be correct from phone info and invoice).

Will reach out to them and see if they have any more information.

Edit: It worked on the next attempt. I hit submit again, didn't change any information so must be gremlins in their systems.

When I click the submit button then nothing happens and everything is completed correctly. Tried a couple of times on chrome, edge and even on my phone.
