Thanks. Coming from the S2 so not totally clueless.

I'm guessing CF-Root is still the way to go?

I just played with it for about 5min or so and the ICS on my S2 and the ICS on this are worlds apart. Actually more the TW interface and features. Will probably still revert back to Nova Launcher.

What's the difference between Nova and Apex?
 
Whoopdee fffff dooo!!

I didn't read up that the S3 uses a micro sim. Tried cutting my normal sim to size now but still now working. I think I cut it too small.

At least I can do all the updates and that stuff via Wi-Fi. Just have to wait until tomorrow until I can use Whatsapp, calls and messaging.

I did this when I first got my iPhone and it also didn't work. Turns out I needed to cut into the actual gold part of the SIM slightly and then it worked. No harm in trying.

Luckily the SIM surgery I performed went well the first time :D
 
Damnit, I installed an update to fix the battery stats and now I can't do the OTA update as the framework-res.apk does not have the same MD5 signature :mad: Just overwrite it and stop downloading the damned file!
 
I am curious, I want to know if I could use my Logitech Harmony charger to charge my S3? I have checked and the input and output are exactly the same as the S3 charger: Input 100 - 240V and output 5V.

There is one way to find out...
 
For those on stock, the stock gallery app decided to eat up about 30Mb of my mobile data yesterday - have not idea why. I suggest you guys configure this to only send data via wifi. You can't do this from the app. I had to do this from the data usage monitor that comes with stock.
 
I've been using Omega since I first got my S3, downloaded V10 this morning and will install it later.

I've had no problems at all with any of the 3 previous versions of Omega I've had on my phone (8.1, 9 & 9.1). Been running 9.1 for the last 4 days.
 
To be honest, I can't give feedback on the battery life of the stock ROM.

I'm getting at least 16 hours of use before I plug it back into the charger for the night and at that stage I've used approx 70% of the available charge.

Normal usage of a smartphone, calls, emails, etc etc
