Been using it for over a week with no issues and a much quicker phone.
I did a factory reset and installed 6.01 for a non branded phone so there's less clutter and pre-loaded rubbish.

I'm getting this stupid notification at the bottom on the screen (see image below) at random times (i.e unlock etc)

You might have an account that needs a password to be entered again.
Email, Samsung, Picasa, Facebook etc...

I went through my accounts list and found that it was picasa web albums trying to sync but I never gave it permission.

Thanks, gonna take me a while to figure out. Also sometimes when I want to log into the Discovery app it wants me to enter the same password as the below image (image has if I restart my phone)

Still holding out for OTA. Marshmallow on my wife's S5 LTE not wow enough to force me to flash an intl rom.
 
My contract has run out and I can upgrade, but this phone is still pretty good. In fact, it out performs most phones that I can get on a similar priced contract. Contracts have become very expensive

When I upgrade I'll probably go with the Note 5.my wife has the 4 and its an awesome phone.

What have you all upgraded to, or will consider for an upgrade?
 
I just went from an iPhone 6 to a galaxy s7 edge.

I'm loving the edge. Bright screen, fast and very responsive. Camera auto focus is great.

I'm on my last month of the MTN contract and will be going back to prepaid.
1) I hardly make calls
2) I'll keep the Afrihost 2GB Data Bundle for R99 per month
3) Maybe when the S8 comes out i'll consider getting that
4) I've never taken my phone into Samsung once during the warranty period, so yes I've happy with it in general

What OS was it on? I'm currently running on the 6.0.1 with 1 May 2016 Patch level
