Some later thoughts on the S5 from Anandtech.
1) the waterproofing measures seem to have adversely impacted heat tolerance, with the result that benchmarks slow down a lot over a sustained duration of time.
2) Over time the fingerprint scanner turns out to be so unpredictable that it becomes discarded in favor of pattern unlock.
3) the screen approaches Adobe RGB standard which is very good as most LCD screens can just manage sRGB
4) The size and form are uncomfortable and a step back from the S4.

What u smoking dude.. The samsung screen cracked in this video and the iPhone was still 100% usable.

There are several advantages over the s5 compared to the HTC. Comparing the iPhone to the s5 however works about a well as comparing a model T to a horse and cart.

I'm not a troll. There's plenty of positive things about the S5. It just seems to b a very mixed update from the S4 - which in hindsight I underappreciated.

the S4 and s5 do not compare. There are too many changes to even mention but anyway so far with today's software and updates I am more than happy. Let's see when things change...Btw my wife has the S4 while I have the s5 so I can physically and easily see the difference between the two. If you want me to do comparisons please shout.

Its by far the fastest and best phone I have ever used and I have used them all. Including that piece of crap iPhone with its midget screen.
Tjhe cover for the USB at the bottom was badly designed but the phone is fantastic in every other way

Another thing, the battery life is absolutely fantastic, I hardly use my car charger anymore.

Please do. Am on waiting list but thinking of taking s4 rather with a tab. Saw such a deal when s5 launched but havent seen it again.
Re the S4 v S5, here's a few pics. Taken with my Nexus 5 so pretty pointless but the difference between the screens is quite noticeable. I put them both onto full brightness and as my son said, the S5 is far more vivid.
