Oh look, Midnight Drunk is back. Woohoo!

Can there be any sadder indication of one's life than trolling a cell phone thread?

Not only is he trolling a cellphone thread he's trolling one that has nothing to do with the comparison between the device and it's competition and is purely supposed to serve as an information sharing topic.

Sad indeed.

I've just taken to reporting his rubbish in the hopes that someone steps in and nails him for the off-topic nonsense spouting and overt racism.

My number has finally been migrated to prepaid. So I'm free to port. Considering Telkom Mobile - Just need to decide between the S5 and Note 3...torn between the 2.

I think fanie.dry has both.

Correct.

Someone asked me the same question the other day. And thinking about it, it comes down to only 1 thing.

Are you still going to use the S Pen once the novelty wears off? If yes, get the Note 3. If no, get the S5.

Both are awesome phones, you won't be disappointed either way.

Also having tried both, the screen size does make a difference. If you want a phablet get the Note 3, if you want a tad smaller s5.

May have been me awhile ago :whistling: Thanks.

The only thing that is holding me back is the size. I'm not worried about missing out on the fingerprint scanner and newer software, etc. on the S5.

Got 2 S5's as upgrades today.
I wanted to move from the 350 Anytime package to the 100 anytime (R759.00 to R489.00), but they viewed it as a downgrade and said we could only do it when my contract was finished. My wife said we couldn't a ford the new price of R759.00
They gave me the same package then for R619.00 (350 Anytime, 100Sms's and 300MB).

Same for my daughter on the Anytime 200.
Got the Anytime 200, 100SMS's and 300MB for R499.00 instead of R609.00

Wasn't me.
My wife went to collect them P.E.

She said she smiled.
:erm:

Apparently he looked on the computer when she siad that we could not afford the higher prices and said he could offer us the deals I mentioned.
I think in total we are paying about R30.00 more than my previous contracts, but with higher data. We were both on 75MB that was increased at some stage to 100MB.

Eish... not bright are we?

The iPhone is made in China too.

Lol, yeah. I laughed when I read that. If it wasn't for China we would be typing on our typewriters watching our cathode ray tube televisions right now :D

No, our stuff would just be made somewhere else and probably more expensive.

Check history of japan (in 50's japan made copies and meant cheap crap) Now stands for quality. All economies go through stages. Asian tigers provided cheap labour just like china.

And then eventually when a certain quality of life was achieved some other poorer nation became more competitive.

Gunpowder, compass etc come from china. At a stage they considered us backwards now we regard them as copycats :)

I was using a bit of hyperbole, but if you do think about it if companies didn't have access to the cheap manufacturing costs I think a lot of products would not have been produced. At least not on the scale that we see. This in turn would have massive effects on the percentage of the population that would have access to these products.

Wait. You aren't implying the Chinese have been a force in technoligical advancement in recent decades are you ?

We have several machines at work that are 100% pure Chinese originality. Nobody else makes anything even close. But I suppose that since all you see is retail technology you can be forgiven for believing in the stereotypes.
