Samsung Galaxy S5

I'm suffering separation anxiety. got my S5 Tuesday, sold my Nexus 5 yesterday..... Dunno if it was a good move or not yet ;)

I did the same N5 to S5 :)

I'm enjoying it but I have to admit I'm missing pure Android a bit, although I'll wait for CM to arrive and load that up then. Maybe we'll even get a play edition S5.

But hey, I must say I'm loving the S5, it's an awesome phone and the display is stunning. You'll love it.

I don't see why it would since ADH (Accidental Damage from Handling) Warranty covers screen and liquid damage repairs.
Well, knowing corporates, anything they can do to not honour warranty! Maybe something along the lines of you altered the software which in turn could potentially have damaged the hardware?

At this time I see no point in rooting. My phone is perfectly responsive and has plenty RAM for opening multiple or large applications.

Agreed. I'm absolutely loving it

I was sceptical about getting mine at first, but after using it for a while it's phenomally good. The camera is AMAZING as is the battery life. With the same usage I used to run my S3 flat by about 9 at night, now when I get home it's still got a good 65%

Haven't used the camera yet, will do so tomorrow most likely

Running out of resources or not being able to install newer apps would be my only reason for rooting.

I rooted on day one. Was the only way I could find to migrate my apps and their data across from my S4.

What about smart switch?

Did my bosses S3 to S5 that way.

Games and apps even had his scores and preferences.
Did not even have to set up his wifi connections for home.

Didn't try that, but none of the backup/restore programs I tried could restore app data without root.
Anyway, doesn't bug me, cos I use a few of the Wanam Xposed modules as well as Greenify so I would have done it anyway.

I can't believe that Touchwiz doesn't allow lockscreen widgets. wt actual f?
