How did the cover itself hold up?

nothing wrong (that was not wrong on arrival).

The backing is a piece of brushed aluminium, the rest is chromed plastic. Only issue I had was the chrome plating is scuffed in some places.

But as i said, they are sending me another free of charge.

Noticed some peeling on my phone yesterday.
USB port (down to plastic on the edge) and back cover (one piece the clear coating has come off, on another piece by the usb port clear coating and gold has come off).

What does the lettering next to the signal icon look like when connected to lte? I've only ever seen 3g and edge. Not sure if my phone is connecting to the MTN lte network

Just reading up on the MTN website. Am I supposed to pay the extra to use lte?

Edit: I see I'm already subscribed to the lte VAS service

back in the day (last year :D) when they released LTE MTN was charging IIRC R30-50 for subscribers to use LTE - i think they backtracked on that

According to their maps, I am in a coverage area at home and work. Never seen an LTE connection...

You sir then have the same problem I have - we need a sim Swap, we need to ensure apparently that the Sim is Lte Compatible as not all Micro sims are - and as i disbelieved this my friends with an Iphone had LTE that didn't work he even provisioned LTE still no go. had a Sim swap and boom it worked.
So if you don't mind waiting for me to get my lazy Ass into gear to do the sim swap ill tell you if it is indeed the case.

I'm with vodacom and they told me to do as described earlier. It worked. Maybe try it.

Go into mobile network> network operators and choose a different isp. Once it has connected turn it back to mtn then reboot
