Samsung Galaxy S5

Please help.
I did the update to the BTU ROM with Odin, everything went fine. But now for some reason the wifi doesn't want to work.
It connects to the router but no traffic is flowing, all other devices work fine on the wifi.

Did i do something wrong?

Please help.

Just reboot the phone, and maybe switch the router off and on again.

Then open an app that will force your phone to use data, like Facebook or Tapatalk and see if it's using the wifi router.

Also try "forget"-ting the network, and re-add it.

Restarted the router but still nothing. Any ideas?
I did a factory reset after the update.

Did you do what Fanny Dry suggested?

Also, when you tap the wifi button to unable it, don't you see any data transfer happening between your phone and the router?

You are screwed dude! You have obviously done something wrong and fried the wi-fi circuitry. At least you have 3G you can use. That still works right?

EDIT: Just kidding... These things happen. Check the MD5 numbers and make sure the download is fine (it should be else Odin would not have flashed the firmware). Then just re-flash the firmware. Also do what @AstroTurf suggested

I'm thinking the rom he used only uses certain channels/access modes for wifi or something,

I edited my post :D

The regional laws and bylaws for wi-fi do differ between countries, but the whole of Europe is governed by the same laws. I am running the Polish firmware and @kingrob runs the UK firmware (others too). I did not have to set any channels. It could well be that Zodiac's settings is only for 5GHz. If he sets it to automatic, there should be no problem. In principle, I agree with you provided it is only the 5GHz band
