No problem. Good luck bru. When installing the rom and you get to the kernel choice for unikernel v9 just select Stock when faced with the performance settings. I find that gives amazing battery life.

PS: Don't forget to push the scripts to tame Google play services when u done setting up

You do realise that the Note 5 is basically the same phone as the Galaxy S6? Basically 1Gb more RAM, no IR sensor and a few minor other changes.

The SOC (Exynos 7420), display resolution, camera and so on are the same, so they are actually the same generation of technology.

The battery on the S6 is my biggest issue thus why I am in fact rather going to settle for the Note4
 
Have you tried wiping the cache partition? My S6 is now like 4 days old and after a big update it was burning hot so I Googled and this was recommended. Perhaps you should also try Google for some recommended options?

You can also optimise your setup, my note 3 lasts almost two full days if I use it little-medium. It is now two years old.

It just took going through all apps and all Android settings but I was happy with my note 3 battery life.

I would suggest the same if you have the patience as I believe the S6 is a great phone. :)

Pointless as it does not extend ADH longer than the first 12 months. So you're going to get locked into a network for 3 years and be stuck with the 2-3 year old phone. Plus, there is no ways they will replace battery for free in year 2 or 3 so battery life will be a nightmare for the last 12 months.

Pay cash, go prepaid. Profit!

Hi, maybe you guys can help me. I've installed some custom roms before, but just want to get some clarity.

The first step is to root the device, I'm currently running 5.0.2, so this should not be a problem. I do have an issue with the install instructions

stall the ROM
- Make sure you're on an recent Bootloader & Firmware (Android 5.1.1 Bootloader REQUIRED for v.2.1 and higher!!)

As I'm on 5.0.2 this is a problem. Could someone maybe help me out with some instruction on how to install this from 5.0.2, or should I first update to 5.1.1 and go a different route? I'm currently downloading the stock 5.1.1 in any case from another member's link, and the ones found online are horribly slow.

Because your on an older bootloader I would suggest you Odin flash the latest stock firmware, then flash TWRP recovery followed by flashing the ROM of your choice.

Of course you could just Odin flash TWRP, followed by your ROM then just Odin flash the latest Bootloader and Modem. I ran into issues trying to do this when I had 5.0.2 finger print scanner didn't work among others.

I found the 1st method has the least problems.

Currently I'm using a Note 5 ported ROM with arter97 kernel v9beta4 on my S6 and it's smooth as hell :)

He bought a fake S6 guys, so it won't be needed
 
HELP!

I deleted a very important file on my phone...been trying to restore it...but the PC software needs to you to root the phone...which I did with Odin and ROM I got from CF-root. Unfortunately I ended up with my phone on the Samsung Galaxy S6 page and at the top in red it says recovery is not seandriod enforcing which I believe means its been bricked. So I downloaded a stock ROM and tried to load that and it failed too...can someone please assist me?
