Does anyone have a link to the Firmware for the S6 edge? Looking for BUT but when I download from Sammobile it's only one file. Where do I find the csc and so forth?

It is only 1 file. Which network are you on?

You should end up with a .tar or md5 file. Click on AP and flash.

Sammobile is extremely slow thou.

Yes it is a .tar file. It's for my wife's device, she is on Vodacom. What about CSC? With my S7 Edge I had all four/three files in that had to go into Odin. Would this not be the same here?

For the firmware, it's just the tar file. Unless you want to update the kernal etc. Which should not be necessary.

I've flashed my phone numerous times.

Okay thanks, so it will the be on BTU? I can then remove all the Vodacom stuff from the device? If nougat gets released for the S6 Edge, will she have to wait for Vodacom or will it be as per my S7 Edge which got the update last week already?

So if I only flash the AP file which is the only one that downloaded via sammobile it will be unbranded and I won't have to update it via Odin every time? With my S7 I had a bunch of files to add to AP, CSC and so forth. Won't it make a difference?

Yes that is correct. As long as it is official Samsung firmware, OTA updates will still work as normal.

My S6 charging mechanism has died. I cant charge my phone :( How can I get this fixed. Samsung wants to charge me R800 to fix that part, but since my back cover is cracked, they say they will have to break that to get to the battery. So it end up costing a lot to fix this thing. Where else can I get this fixed quick and reasonably priced?

Surely still within 24 months warranty?

Well it is less than 2 years old. I got it in 2015 august. I didn't know it came with a warranty. How and where can I get it fixed using the warranty?

Oh dear, I think you were required to register the Samsung warranty within the first couple of weeks of ownership. Everybody who owns one of these knows that, the main reason to get a Galaxy phone is the good warranty you get.

If you got your phone on a contract, then the best is just to take it in to your service provider's repair centre and they will hopefully sort it for you.
