It's usually best to run Odin as admin, maybe that will help.

just a FAIL in the odin window, it almost gets to the end of the update then stops

The other guy used the one I posted and flashed just fine, restart your PC, use a different cable, use a different USB port and make sure you're using the Odin I posted.

I saw that mentioned but the people were discussing Vodafone branded firmware so I didn't think it applied.
Glad you got it working.
Any idea which one I have an it official...had to go custom etc

what does "manipulate the md5" entail...?
What you do is you basically download it extract it then delete the md5 from it make it a tar file then extract it with win rar then delete the the file with an h and then re compress the tar file with 7zip and then leave it as that and add it via Odin and flash

Can you guys maybe give a mini review Monday or during the week, how is performance, battery life etc.

Not as long as I would like it to last, not even a full day. During the week I'm office bound, so always able to charge.
Its still early days so not sure what improvements will see, but S6 battery is utter garbage so not expecting much improvement.
