Samsung's Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge will launch on April 10, according to Vodacom.

A pre-order page on the Vodacom website shows that there won't be a long wait for the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge.

Vodacom is offering the Galaxy S6 in a 32GB model, while the Galaxy S6 Edge is being offered in a 64GB variant.

The Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge feature a powerful octacore Samsung processor, 3GBs of RAM, a 20-megapixel main camera and a 5MP front-facing shooter.

However, the S6 Edge stands out thanks to its dual-curved display, going one step further than last year's Galaxy Note Edge.

Samsung is also touting fast-charging capabilities and wireless charging in their new flagships.

But Samsung will be facing competition from the likes of LG and HTC, with the G Flex 2 and One M9 respectively.

So what happened in the s6
Dont know. But i remember the outrage on Sammobile when the battery capacity leaked. Everyone has the impression the battery was just too small...

I suppose we also have to remember that they are building phones thatvare designed to impress you for a year and then annoy you for a year so you start planning your next upgrade.

I'm a die hard Samsung fan but this and the lack of removable storage has left me wondering if I should get it. I have the s5 and my contract is up this month.

Check my edit on last post. Also how? Is the S5 not like only a year old? My S4 is only out of contract next month and I got that pretty early after launch.

They seem to get it right every single time in the Note series, and apparently the A series phones are also going the right direction in battery capapcity, the A5 got a 74h Endurance score on GSMArena.

I am a fan of Samsung products as I feel they kept Android on the map and proved how powerful of an OS it is with their products, they seemed to set the benchmark every year but the S6 I'm afraid may not do that, the American tech sites are going to tare this phone apart for 1. looking like a iPhone6, 2. Removing features that the iPhone didn't have, 3. Poor battery life. Phones like the LG G2, Note 3, S5, Xperia Z3, iPhone 6 Plus, Note 4 etc...have set quite a high standard in battery life, the S6 will be a shocker, even being beaten by the Nexus 6, and generally Nexus phones show very average to below average battery life.

After having read the review, I can't say I'm as excited... Will most probably consider a Note 4 before an S6

I can vouch for this. A5 battery is fantastic!

Again I say it.......how difficult is it to design a battery that lasts for a long time? Are they that stupid ?

How difficult is it for Samsung to just design a battery that kicks ass? Is it that difficult?

Lithium ion battery is the substance that holds current best. There is nothing else better. And that's a fact.

The only thing that can be done is make a more efficient phone.

That being said, I'll reserve my judgment until I've tested this for myself.

Good points. Or just put in a bigger battery what would it cost ? A few dollars ??

Its probably not a cost thing, but an aesthetics thing. S6 is quite thin.

Also, this is their first go at a built in battery, give it time.

Either way, I'm getting it. I already have chargers everywhere around me wherever I go...

Completely agree. I just expect them to listen to us. Battery life is a big factor and the public demand better performance. So use the best brains on the planet and make it work.
It is unacceptable for them not to in this day and age have the best performance
