Samsung Galaxy S6

Samsung store in Canal Walk has them(S6 + Edge). I messed around with one for about 5 minutes... Its a quality unit no doubt and I was unable to get the interface to lag in anyway. The Samsung tech did however mention that for heavy users, the battery will only last one full working day. This remains to be tested imo...

I have been reading a few reviews and hands on articles and think that I will be going for the S6. Now the wait to see what MTN prices are going to be.

It seems like edges eats into mail screen space. A comment on Erica's webpage"+Erica Griffin One thing that people haven't mentioned is that the available flat reading surface is smaller on the Edge. I noticed this when handling one at my local best buy. The text, images, and videos all bend off the edges. "

From what I saw, this is true.

Sorry Fanie I dont think you will get the Edge for R579. Telkom just announced their prices.

S6 edge R649 on SmartPlan 100 and R799 on SmartPlan 250. The S6 is cheaper at R479 on SmartPlan 50 and R499 on SmartPlan 100. Vodacom and MTN will probably be more expensive.

When i mention 579, it's without a contract.

For example
Vodacom was 779, but with the price increase will be 799. The contract without a device is 319 (after the increase), so your device payment is basically R480.

So let's say FNB is 579, I need to make more use of the R220 in airtime and bundles, than what I will by paying R319 for 120min and 300mb of data.

I just pre-ordered the S6 at our local MTN shop, they don't have a price or model, you must just choose between a black or white one.

I suppose it will be the 32GB one which is fine with me, I don't really take a lot of photos with the phone.

Let's see what the pricing will be, if it is crazy then I will go the Z3 route.
