I don't see how that article has anything to do with South Africa, look at the source, it's a Kenyan newspaper reporting on prices in Kenya. They just used a currency converter to guess the prices. I think they just assumed that all countries in Africa are the same.

South Africa has also announced its Galaxy S6 and S6 edge pricing. The regular GS6 will retail for Sh74,999 with only the 32GB version available, while the Galaxy S6 edge will retail for Sh89,999 with only the 64GB version available. Neither the Galaxy S6 nor the S6 edge in the country will offer a 128GB memory storage version for either device. Both devices will come with a free phone cover and two-year manufacturer warranty, but there will be no accidental damage from handling (ADH) coverage with the S6 – a new policy that cancels the accidental damage protection users received with the Galaxy S4 in 2013.

Have a look in your wallet, do you have any Kenyan Shillings in there? Do you believe everything you read on the Internet? Once again look at the article they got this information from, it has nothing to do with South Africa.

Did you fail to see they mentioned South Africa and not Kenya?

Just had a look at Cresta. Very impressed, why have they been messing around with cr@p plastic modern glam designs for so long... Wouldn't get the edge, it's a gimmick imo. Better built than the iPhone 6 to me. Looking forward to what they do with the note 5 already

reported by sammobile, the most untrusted source on the planet

Here's the article they point to as the source of their information:http://www.businessdailyafrica.com/...unch-/-/539550/2669688/-/lhasonz/-/index.html

Notice how this article is about Kenya, though their link says South Africa? Also notice the prices in Kenyan currency? Also note that the South African prices are conversions amd they offer prices for devices they said wouldn't be available? Finally don't you think Mybroadband or anyone else in SA would have written about it if Samsung SA had provided prices and details?

Sorry, getting a bit crazy here, few things irritate me as bad reporting. Which in this case comes from 'writers' who assume one country in Africa is the same as the next.

Might even consider taking a regular S6 128GB over a 64GB S6 Edge. Been thinking whether the Edge is worth the premium.

more and more reports suggest that bendy screen is just that... a bendy screen. no added functionality that's worthwhile. Considering getting the normal one as well.

More comentary from Erica Griffin" The Edge doesn't really add anything but a cool appearance at this point and some extra features that you may or may not find useful. I think people are curious and will go for it. Once they play with it they will see the downsides and Samsung will fix it for later releases to maintain the upsides. If you want something new go for it! If you want a practical viewing experience don't get it. Since the sides are curved the content can look distorted so it becomes bothersome when reading lots of text. At some points it makes the center of the display pop and it looks cool. My first impression was liking that the center of the display really popped. But then I used it for a few hours and my eyes became a bit bothered. If you can get used to that and don't mind paying extra for the Edge, go for it."

O, and I think my mind is finally made up. Won't be getting the edge. Not after the last couple of reviews of the bendy part.
