that is p i s s poor delivery compared to the other networks. Lucky draw wtf?
 
Picked up my black sapphire so this afternoon from Vodafone Galleria. Phone looks wicked!

Busy setting it up on my WiFi cos my nano sin swop hasn't gone thru yet
 
A silly question you've probably answered a 1000times but what would be the benefit of taking the S6 Edge instead of the S6?

I'm really in 2 minds seeing that I love the look of the Edge but don't really see what benefit will be derived from the Edge (my usage point of view at least) compared to the S6?
 
It's not a lucky draw at mtn. The first 200 customers who pre ordered get the extra goodies. All of us get the wireless charger
 
I also passed on the edge. The only benefits were colour changing sides for 5 contacts and news and weather ticker.

I think the edge is a gimmick like Stay Awake or one of those features u just turn off and forget to save battery.

I've seen some mention of the Edge performing slightly better in terms of battery than the regular S6, also as I understand it with some networks the S6 is 32GB while the Edge is 64GB.

That's what I thought as well, but the lady that called me told me it was a lucky draw. I'm hoping she doesn't know what she's talking about.
 
So looks like this will be the first phone in years I don't get on launch day. Still waiting for Vodacom for that contract cancellation.
 
Sofar the best cash price that I can find for the 64GB Edge is from Esquire - R13,337 (Vat Inc)

Anybody know of better prices?

Also waiting for FNB to list the S6.
 
Will most likely only get mine next week - I really should've gone to a store and not done the upgrade over the phone :/
 
This is interesting, the MTN site has the S6 at R529 instead of R549 as shown in yello trader. The Edge is the same price of R679 though.
 
Just got my S6 Edge 64gb from MTN store world wear. Went there at 9, there were no other customers. 20 min later was upgraded :) Leaving it to charge now :)
MTN direct people have been phoning about pre orders but better to just go to a store so you don't have to wait for delivery ☺
