I'm dying to root my device. Can't stand being left without immersive mode and at least Xposed.
This is the first device I've owned without rooting as soon as I got it. Don't know why I'm scared to. Probably the price tag.
How do you "miss" immersive mode on a Samsung which has hardware buttons ibstead of the on screen buttons like a LG or Nexus?
Or am I misunderstanding something about immersive mode?

Okay i tried the wipe cache partition. Volume up+home+power and its on 4 bars now
Can you please explain what the trick is? I pressed all three and nothing appears to happen?

That's weird. Your page even says it's a Vodafone version, but my phone's not picking it up through the standard OTA update check.
Guess we just gotta wait a bit longer for Vodafone to check it and roll it out.

That's per app. I want immersive mode throughout the UI experience.
Never mind that, there are many other root features I use only possible on root. Probably gonna bite the bullet, root and trip KNOX. The trade-offs are worth it though.

It's an official ROM. Nothing wrong with flashing official ROMs. Same as updating over KIES.
People have claimed ADH with Rooted devices too. Samsung don't seem to care.

Telkom and CellC don't brand their firmware updates. You can flash any international unbranded firmware. These are usually the best anyway.
The Vodafone version is usually full of Vodacom cr@p.
