I also got the update. I'm running XEU (UK and Ireland unbranded) on my s6 edge. Hopefully it fixes my bad battery life since 5.1.1
No updates for me still on 5.02 :-(

My S5 after a year was better. It's terrible.
Its also had a quad core, a 1080p display and a bigger battery.
Vs octocore, 2k screen and 2600mah battery.
The optimization is insane. I'm hitting better hours on my s6 than the G4, which has a 3000mah battery.
I reiterate, its not amazing, but its better than it many of the other phones that recently came out.
However you knew what you were walking into buying the phone.. so.

Same. Seems the South African cellphone providers don't give a hoot about flagships' software.

South African XFE 5.1.1 has been out for a couple of weeks now. Should have been pushed out to TM and CellC devices.
I have a Telkom handset with a Vodacom sim. My CSC code is XFA.
I came across this article regarding the S6 smart manager.

They mention that the RAM manager and Device security parts of the smart manager are unnecessary and cud actually mess up your system. Just the Battery and Storage parts are useful.
What do you guys think?
If its true, why wud Samsung install something that cud potentially harm the phone in the long term?

So far so good.
Seems like the ram issue was sorted. Phone feels snappier and less stuttery, and seems to run cooler.. Though that might fade with time.
No comments on battery life yet. However, Samsung have conveniently added an option to auto restart your phone at any time + day of your choosing. Which means you don't have to manually reset weekly now. Its nothing huge, but is one less thing for me to worry about.

Little bit off topic. Has anyone been able to get a decent screen protecter or tempered glass one for the s6 Edge, that is not anti-glare and covers edge to edge?
S6 Edge.
Honestly I'd like to know this too, using the anti glare one and it really makes me miss not having a screen protector.

I have a question about Samsung Rewards. I burned 70 000 points yesterday on a S6 S View Cover but it doesn't show in my wallet yet. How would I know if everything went through ok and when I'll get the cover.
