Samsung Galaxy S7

I have now successfully reinstalled my phone 5 times, hoping that I have the correct XFV version, but to no avail. It seems like the SamFirm dingus is broken, because it keeps downloading the wrong country.
Orbiter, thanks, but the one you downloaded for me was VD2 (Germany)
No, it's not broken, they are all multi csc roms.

Vd2 is the german vodacom. Reset phone with vodacom sim in. When the phone starts up choose english language then it will ask you to configure sim (or sometbing like that) say yes phone will restart and you shohld have xfv/xfv /xfv

Yes. When it boots up after upgrade it asks you that in German. I used google to make sure I select yes to reset. After reset and bootup it is in English.

Ok i have my phone semi set up now. It gave me German when I started up first time this morning. It is now set up under VD2, although i selected English (South Aftica)

Do I just do a factory reset through the menus again? Or how? I have never heard of this... ?

Googled it, did the three finger, (power, home, volume up) bootup, did a factory reset, **** all. Same ****ing thing. Still ****ing VD2 **** ****ing CSC.

Vodacom sim remained in the phone. Little bit annoyed now. **** phone this.

You may need to flash again, and do the reset/sim provisioning the first time it boots after flash.
This is sometimes not an exact science.

Just download the vodacom firmware and be done with it

No need to get snarky.

So you are installing the Vodacom firmware and still it's going to VD2?
Lol sorry. Yes, every time. Well, i have tried XFA and XFV, and then it either installs a turkish or german rom.

I am slow downloading a rom that clearly says XFV at the front of the filename, but at the sites allowed 70kb/s.

I booted up with power, home and vol up, phone said Installing package, but then it showed no sign of the words multi-csc anywhere.

have you tried this:

So I finally managed to change my CSC from TPA on my unbranded S8+ (G955F) to IUS, and now I can use S Pay.

This is what I did:
1. Downloaded this Combination File from https://firmware.gem-flash.com/index.php, I had to pay $3 USD to get access to the download.
COMBINATION_FA70_G955FXXU1AQD1_CL11075178_QB130870 97_REV00_user_mid_noship.tar.md5.rar
2. Downloaded Odin 3.12 (latest), other versions did not work.
3. Downloaded this ROM:
https://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/.../SM-G955F/IUS/
Latest version (January 1st, 2018), it is from ATT, but I dont care care about that haha.
4. Run Odin, download mode on phone and install firmware downloaded from SamMobile.
5. Restart phone, enter OS and do factory data reset.
6. Remove "hidden.img" from HOME CSC (included in firmware) with 7Zip. It has to be repacked to a Tar file.
7. Go back to download mode, open odin and choose the combination file under AP and the recently modified version of Home CSC under CSC.
8. Reboot and enter factory mode.
9. In Factory Imei input *#243203855#
10. Choose IUS as the new CSC.
11. Boot back to download mode.
11. Reinstall firmware, now using normal CSC file (not Home CSC).
12. Boot up to ATT Mexico phone.

Yeah I'm not gonna do all that.

I downloaded a ROM that specifically said XFV, installed it. Reset the phone after installation just to be safe, reset the phone with the SIM card out, with the SIM card in, with the SIM card in a different room, with the phone upside down. It just refuses to install the XFV, but funnily enough, with every reset, it installs some other CSC number. Seems there is some sort of lottery going on in the phone with a spinning wheel. Ir a battle royale to see which one gets installed. **** knows, I officially give up.

All this to set up Samsung Pay? Damn.
I come from a part of the world where I wouldn't dream of waving my phone around at the till just in case of snatch and run. Nope, staying on my English rom and giving plastic to the teller works just fine.

Hi guys please send me a link to samfirm and advise if the latest available XFA has any bugs?

Will I still get OTA updates and not lose any data?

BTU just released a small update an hour and 45 minutes ago, hasn't been fed to my phone yet.
